Q: Is a 2.0 or 1.1 recommended for everyday use in and around the house? Will mainly be used for background music at low levels.

We use our minirig 3 most days , perfect for back ground music or if you want loud music for a party , battery is amazing lasts for ever ,easy to blue tooth your phone to , comes in its own case would highly recommend this speaker. Not sure about 2.0 or 1.1 we have the one pictured .

Q: If I buy two is it stereo tws or is it just mono from both speakers

If you pair the two speakers manually they will default to True Wireless Stereo mode. If you would like to use them both in mono you can change this setting using the Minirigs app for iOS or Android.

Q: Can i have wireless stereo via aux in ?

You can pair two Minirigs together in True Wireless Stereo via Bluetooth.

Q: I'm a bit worried about how best to charge it. will any 5v usb charging plug do? i have an apple 5v charger but could also use my imac usb ports?

Hi there, yes any 5V plug such as an iPhone one will do (I charge mine with that). You can also charge from your computer's ports. Cheers, Elli
