I've had these silicone fob jackets in the past and they are a great solution for when the hanging loop wears out and you don't need to replace the whole, expensive fob. This loop will wear out eventually as it's pretty thin, but it will hold up for quite a while before you have to replace it.My car is older, a 2003 Toyota Highlander, and the fob loop wore through long ago. At first I could buy these jackets at the dealership, but now my car is so old they don't carry them anymore. I was very happy to find the exact one I needed here. And the bright color makes it easy to spot when you're looking for it.

Mine has held up for about 7 months and is now starting to tear and after the first month of having it, I was not careful with my keys at all. I have ordered a second one and plan to actually jerry rig fix the break in my actual key fob as it was the key ring coming through that break that started this cover to tear. Whle the texture took some getting use to, I did not find that it became linty or gross as some reported - and my keys get shoved in jeans pockets, fleece jacket pockets, and beach bags with sandy grit on a regular bases.

I'm pleasantly surprised with these key remote cases. Toyota key fobs wear out at the key ring so easily. Yes, this case adds some bulk to your key ring, but it appears as though the ring portion of the case will last LONG after the Toyota ring is broken or has worn through.

I love this simple, brilliant solution to the failed key loop on my Toyota remote. The remote is ridiculously expensive to replace so I am sincerely grateful to the creative mind that came up with this celver, economic solution.The remote cover fit exactly, perfectly over my remote solving a problem that had annoyed me for so long.

Only reason it's 4 star is because my last one broke, after I had it for a year.

This is a very nice thing to put around your keychain, especially if you broke the very top off. It was way cheaper than buying a whole new fob.
