300 seeds! Germination success!
I ordered 50 seeds, but the packet actually came with 300. I carefully prepared a rockwool cube tray by soaking it in a 5.5 pH solution (use pH down and pH test strips) for 30 minutes; then draining it and soaking it in a fertilizer solution . The seeds are tiny so I used tweezers to carefully place a seed in the center hole of each cube. I placed the tray on a heating pad on low under 24 hour LED lighting. It's been a week since I planted and I'm starting to see germination. Definitely worth it for the price. I was worried I wouldn't have any successful germination after reading the reviews. I'll try to remember to update the review once I get them transplanted outside with the final success rate. I plan to leave it on 24 hour lighting for at least a month, and then I will see how big they are and consider transplanting and will plant along with Jobe's fertilizer spikes and setting the sprinkler to water them daily until established.
