Shiro Kuramata Hardcover – June 25, 2013

Great and beautiful book. But how indescribably dumb was it to apply a giant sticker to the front of a beautiful acrylic slipcase that doesn’t come off easily, leaves residue and scratches the acrylic if you try and get it off? One of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen.

Nice package design and absolutely wonderful content, but sadly let down by very poor quality paper and print quality. I was expecting a lot more.

A MASTERPIECE ON ONE OF MY FAVORITE DESIGNERS WRITTEN BY AN ICONIC SCHOLAR OF 20TH CENTURY DESIGN. MANY PHOTOS NEVER SEEN BEFORE. A MUST FOR ALL KURAMATA AFICIONADOS.

The production is exceptional in my copy including the printing. The images and indexing are especially well handled. Though it did not strike me as particularly biographical, Sudjic's text provides ample contextual information with plenty of references to other members of Kuramata's milieu. In total, this excellent two volume edition is certainly a worthy monument to the brilliant designer whose career it represents.

The book as well laid out and informative. It documents the work and career of a great designer.

こちらの商品を購入しましたが、アクリルケースに割れがありました。アクリルケース自体も大事な書籍なので、商品の状態をちゃんと書いて欲しかったです。傷ありとは書かれていましたが、割れているとは思っていませんでした。返品させて頂きました。
