One awesome read
Damned fine read. Spoiler alert. This one starts with Lucas Vallois. In two weeks he will marry the love of his life Andrei Hedeon. Lucas is one happy man. Of course Ian is managing the wedding and the food. Rowe is in charge of the bachelor party and Lucas bets that will be doozy. On this day Snow, Ashton Frost, Lucas's best friend uses his key to get into Lucas's penthouse. Only six people have a key to the penthouse and they normally call first so they don't walk into something they really don't want to see.Snow as everyone calls Dr. Frost is a trauma surgeon and he and Lucas have been best friends since they were kids in Collinsville, Oklahoma a place that held nothing but bad memories for both men. They both joined the Army after leaving Oklahoma and were both Rangers in the 75th along with Rowe. Both have never forgotten what they learned as Rangers. Though its been eighteen years both still move like ghosts and both are more than capable.Lucas can tell that Snow is bothered by something. Andrei heads for the shower so Snow and Lucas can talk. Snow tells Lucas his sister is in Cinncinnati. Lucas thought at one time his sister was on his side until she turned on him after his parents threw him out of the house for his life style. Lucas has no use for Nicole his sister or his parents. People he hasn't had contact with in over twenty years.Lucas is a billionaire and a man who made his money the old fashioned way. He earned it with his knowledge and his ability. He doesn't need the family who threw him away like garbage. The family that made his life miserable. He has no desire to see Nicole or hear what she has to say.Lucas if more than pissed but both Andrei and Snow talk him into seeing Nicole.Nicole is allowed in and the first thing she does is apologize to Lucas for her actions when they were kids. Lucas isn't buying it. She then tells Lucas he's an Uncle. She has a daughter named Taylor. Taylor is brilliant and looks so much like Lucas its uncanny. She tells Lucas something is bothering Taylor so much she's doing things she's never done before and she wants Lucas to help her. She tells Lucas Taylor idolizes him and knows he's her Uncle. Taylor is one smart girl who's working on projects, works part time and volunteers her time as various town functions. Taylor has a plan for her education at either MIT or Stanford. Nicole has no idea what's up with Taylor but feels maybe Lucas can help.Lucas isn't really interested in leaving right now as his wedding is only two weeks away but Snow and Andrei talk him into it. He and Snow will be leaving for Oklahoma and its a trip that will not go as Lucas or Snow think it will.So begins one damned fie read. This one has Lucas, Andrei, Snow, Nicole, Taylor, a Dr. Blake, a Dr. Blake who isn't a medical doctor, a Dr. Blake who has already sent her husband and son out of the area, a Dr. Blake who will be murdered, a Lucas and Snow who will be run off the road, a Lucas who will suffer bruises, a mild concusion, a Snow who tells Lucas they should have brought guns, and old friend of Lucas's who's now a cop, an Andrei who shows up along with Rowe and Noah, a Rowe and Noah who do have guns, fracking, contaminated groundwater, the outfit who's responsible for it all, a Taylor who finally meets her Uncle, a Lucas who amazed at how much she looks like him, a fire at Nicole's house, a Rowe who assigns body guards to both Nicole and Taylor and Lucas Vallois and Ashton Frost doing their best to figure it all out, protect Nicole and Taylor, make it back for a wedding, survive and stay alive.Five Stars.

Excellent!
Another wild ride through the Unbreakable Bonds universe. We were given a tease in the third Ward Security book, Deadly Dorian. And now we get to whole story.Without giving away spoilers, Lucas and Snow are drawn to their hometown of Collinsville, Oklahoma - a real town fictionalized by the authors - to take care family issues that pose a deadly threat. And that’s all you’re getting from this reader in terms of synopsis. You’ll just have to read the book. It’s worth it.Jocelyn Drake and Rinda Elliott give us exactly what we’ve come to expect from this series: over-the-top action, some of the filthiest (in the best possible way) on-page sex written, crass humor that could make a dock worker blush, and brilliantly funny code names. It’s Unbreakable Bonds so you know there are code names. We’re also introduced to a few people from their shared past. And I can only hope we see more of them in the future, (looking at you, Carl). But they’ve also given us these quiet, tiny moments that are more intense than any car chase or explosion. They are, well... huge. These are the bits and pieces that show us the evolution and growth that these men have and continue to experience. At first glance (and when first introduced in the earlier books) Lucas is easily seen as the demonstrative, unyielding businessman while Snow is the self destructive and emotionally unavailable ace surgeon. And while there is a great deal of truth in these first impressions, don’t neglect the incredible depth to their personalities. They’ve risen so far above their less that perfect beginnings in that small, wind swept Oklahoma town. Abject poverty, abuse at the hands of blood relatives. But both found something in each other that neither of them knew existed. Family. A grounding, loving, absolutely insane family. And at the heart of the entire series is family. Protecting, nurturing, finding that you absolutely can’t exist without it. It’s that “thing” that shoves all the other clutter out of the way and raises you up without judgement. Only acceptance and unwavering love.I feel I can never get everything I want to say about an Unbreakable Bonds story out of my head and onto the page because theres just so much of everything. So much love. So much darkness and danger and blowing things up. But also so much light and future and quiet and noise. As for the wedding that we’ve all been waiting to read about, the first few pages leading up to the ceremony are some of the most poignant in the entire series. So far.Oh, and bit of advise: Read all the way to the end of the book. Not just the story itself. There’s a “What’s Next” that might prove exciting.5 stars because it’s really a pleasure to have the boys back.

This one was just as heartbreaking as the last one in many different ways! I had missed Lucas and Andrei POVs so coming back to them was nice!

Another incredible read by these 2 incredible women!!
WOW WOW WOW Another 5 star addition to an amazing series by these 2 brilliant minds. Let’s just say this book starts off with a huge BANG and knowing both of these ladies, this could mean a multitude of things. I’ll let you read it and find out on your own. 😉 I absolutely loved and devoured this book!!! ❤️ I was literally reading it during physical therapy as I couldn't put it down. Just when you think, how can they top the last book, THEY TOTALLY DO, and for that I’m forever grateful. These boys, and their ever growing ragtag family, all hold a very special place in my heart. I’m not going to give anything away other than to say this book has it all. The feels are off the charts, and the banter is once again fantastic!! So much love, heat, laughter, sadness, suspense, excitement, tears, happiness and joy. The ending was simply beautiful, and the surprise at the very end had me literally jumping off my couch yelling YES!! LOL I'm pretty sure I scared the crap out of my dogs 😂 Big, squishy hugs to you both for always making me feel so much when I read your books!!! 😘

Is there such a thing as a bad Unbreakable Bonds book? I highly freakin’ doubt it!
This series just goes from strength to strength, always such easy, addictive reading for me, featuring the kind of found family I adore and romantic suspense arcs that hold me captive.Lucas and Andrei (and their large group of friends and family) are back for yet another heart-warming, sexy-as-sin, nail-biting adventure, this time following a plot that sees Lucas and bestie Snow returning to the Oklahoma small-town of their childhood nightmares, all in an effort to help Lucas’ estranged sister, after his teenage niece gets caught up in a dangerous scheme involving local oil business that are doing sketchy things. As always, the romance between Lucas and Andrei remains exquisite and the character dynamics, between lovers and friends, are even more wonderful than ever before, proving that some series really do get better as they go along. The suspense element was engaging and I appreciated the change of scenery, but the small-town hate weighed enough on my enjoyment that this wasn’t the easy 5 star read I became accustomed to earlier in the series. I simply have little time or tolerance these days for the kind of toxicity and outrageous judgement that Lucas’ parents and Snow’s whackdoodle religious family were spewing here, and that’s okay. There was little else to complain about here, I promise. As always, I had a great time revisiting old favourites, whom I still consider amongst the crème de la crème of the MM romance world. And best of all?!? We FINALLY get the wedding we’ve been waiting for, and what a heart-melting moment that was, indeed!

The boys are back in town and the heat is on!
This review should be accompanied by a soundtrack of Thin Lizzy's The Boys Are Back In Town, Gary Moore & Phil Lynott's Out In The Fields, add a dash of Donna Summer's Love To Love You Baby, and round it off with a final encore of Pull Up To The Bumper from Grace Jones and Etta James' classic I Just Want To Make Love To You.Yes, Lucas, Snow, Rowe, Ian and the rest of the gang are back in the book we've all been waiting for - the wedding of the decade - minus a couple of hiccups on the way.I also have to say the authors' note at the end of this instalment made me ridiculously happy and completely brightened up my day.So, onto Blaze, a title so appropriate for what lies between the pages that it really couldn't be more perfect. Andrei and Lucas tear up the sheets in this one and it's even hotter than their origin story! Nothing like the thought of a lifetime together to get the juices flowing and oh boy do they. The opening to this book is bloody genius and had me almost snorting my cup of tea, so thanks for that ladies :) The pace only continues as we dive back into the dreadful childhood that Lucas and Snow left behind when they signed up for the Army and got out of their hometown.Great plotting once again drives the suspense element of this book as it examines the dodgy practices that can come along with a company's desire for profit over all else.I won't go into details as it works best when the narrative slowly reveals itself throughout as things aren't what they seem when the book first starts. This series, and its accompanying spin-off Ward Security, is absolutely in my top five favourite reads of any genre. The world these two authors have crafted is as real to me as the one outside my front door (although mine's sadly lacking as many hot men ;) ) and I have loved journeying in it.So you can imagine my delight with this unexpected gift of a love story - and a side order of kick ass-ery - which pulls together all the elements which have made them my favourites.Family, friendship, loyalty, brotherhood, courage, honesty, acceptance, justice, sacrifice, humour and, of course, love (and the hot sex), are all found in the hearts of the four men at the centre of this world and this book holds that tradition high.Read it and try not to tear up at the end as "Forever" really does hold true.

Finally Andrei and Lucas tie the knot. Perfect. 6 Shining Stars.
Wedding bells are ringing, in this instalment of the Unbreakable series. A fabulous series that has seen a book each for our main men, Lucas, Snow, Rowe, and Ian, then four additional novellas about our men and their new partners, plus the spin off series, Ward Security which is also a fabulous series, so far a stunning eleven books from this amazing duet of authors Jocelyn Drake and Rinda Elliot. For die hard fans of the series, like me you’ve been chewing at the bit waiting for Lucas and Andrei to finally get to their happy place so they can formalise their wonderful partnership. Of course since it’s our men, this journey is not going to be smooth sailing, and Lucas and Snow return to their hometown of childhood horrors, to help Lucas’s sister and niece. If you weren’t fully invested in Lucas and Snow as besties,( and why you wouldn’t be is a mystery ) you will be after this.As per Drake and Elliot, there’s a decent amount of sexy AF, Smoking hot man on man loving in this instalment, classic Lucas and Andrei.Absolutely loved this novel, was perfect really, a lotta great feels, and a teaser at the end in authors notes, because hell, yeah I want more of Snow and Jude( who wouldn’t?)Definitely highly recommended for those wanting to see a terrific HEA for Lucas and Andrei. This book could be read as a stand-alone, though your missing out on all the massive back story of how these two sexy as sin men met and got together, the ongoing plot that pervades all four books as Jagger pursues them and Ian, as well as the brilliant foursome brotherhood dynamic that is Lucas, Snow, Rowe, and Ian. Seriously reading from book 1 is a must. It starts with Shiver. Absolutely highly recommended.

Lucas and Snow are back!
Every so often you connect with an amazing character and a wonderful story. For me this happened when I first read Shiver, the first book in The Unbreakable Bonds series by Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott. There were two incredible characters in this book, Lucas Vallois and Ashton (Snow) Frost. We meet them in Shiver when both of them are successful men. Lucas and Snow are not lovers, they have a friendship forged from a young hardscrabble life together, their bond is unbreakable and forged on the strongest unshakeable love and trust. These characters quite literally took my breath away. They are strong, yet vulnerable, powerful, yet considerate, ruthless, yet incredibly kind.So I was beyond excited when I heard about Blaze. No spoilers here, but I will say that we get to learn more about the forging of this truly remarkable friendship. It’s just....no words, but it means everything to me as a reader to get this background. Little popups from Rowe, Noah and Ian. Little bits of Jude as well. Those who have read the previous books will know that Lucas and Andrei will be married and that is also part of this book. There is more insight into this amazing couple and the strength of their love for each other. Andrei is just perfect for Lucas. The wedding is awesome. Because it is Jocelynn and Rinda, there is also some some suspense, some danger, an explosion and some truly hot scenes. The book begins with a bang, if you know what I mean ;). Can’t recommend this highly enough.
