Not even a teenage boy can lay down such sick burns
In classic treat yo self mom fashion, I bought myself this sexy little number to heat up mealtime. Eggs, sausage- we both sizzled. My old skillet watched me from under the cabinet, silently cursing this newer, younger model. And then, the eggs were done. I reached for the handle, and then, BURNED. Maybe I’ve been out of the game too long, but back in my day, you could count on a pan handle to not burn the ever loving (bad word) out of you. Seriously, I’ve got a really bad burn from a handle that is not unlike the surface of the sun. Seriously, I’ve had so many lover- er, I mean, pots and pans, and I have never ever ever ever been burned by a handle. There won’t be a second date.

The perfect pan!
I was looking to replace a 2-3 year old copper pan that was completely worn out and I'd been wanting to try Ayesha Curry's cookware for awhile now. My husband felt sketchy about it and honestly did not think it would be that great, but for the price we decided to give it a shot. This pan it FANTASTIC! We use it at least 3-4 times every single day. We both fry up eggs every morning and we have used it for hamburgers and frying chicken as well - it has been a dream. After the first use, we realized we did not have to use the huge amounts of butter to coat the pan like we did on our old one. We just use a little and it coats the whole pan. No issues with sticking whatsoever and it pretty much just wipes clean with a paper towel. We will be looking to get the whole collection soon!

Pretty skillet with waffled non-stick coating. Under-engineered: reversibly warps & hot handle.
PROS: inexpensive, attractive looking, unusual micro-embossed non-stick surfaceCONS: A) Heating causes the base to become convex i.e. the center stays in contact but the perimeter does not; when cooled, the base is flat again. (This could have been avoided by a thicker base, and/or use of a non-thermoplastic alloy. B) The stainless steel handle becomes hot with prolonged cooking. (This could be avoided by a silicone sleeve, and/or engineered with a thermal barrier at the point of attachment).OVERALL: The most appealing aspect is the non-smooth, embossed non-stick surface. For eggs, this means they just slide off. The skillet is attractive with its painted surface. I cannot comment on durability, but the use of paint on the bottom usually means that it would be eventually marred. The systematic warping is a problem with glass top cookers, as loss of surface contact means less efficient heat transfer; for gas burners, the warping is NOT a major problem. However, there is the "safety" issue of overheating handle that alone could be cause for return. In my case, I bought a "used" (probably returned by another) item that was very inexpensive, and I had a set of silicone sleeves, so, even if it lasts a year, it was cheap enough to replace.

It was dented right out of the box & BROKE MY STOVE!!!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. PLEASE READ THE EDIT BELOW: I had high hopes for it. I just got this out of the box, brand new and as soon as I took the plastic off I saw that it was dented. Not a small dent but like an entire part of the Circle is just straight. Super sad. It’s easier to tell from the bottom than it is from the top which is the only reason I’m keeping it. Also, I don’t know if this was Amazon’s fault or a manufacturing issue.!!!!!! E D I T !!!!!! :By far the WORST pans I have ever bought. I ended up not returning them because my husband was able to take the dent out (for the most part). Fast forward 2 months, I am really enjoying them, they get hot really fast, everything is good until one day, I’m cooking lunch and for some reason the pan gets stuck to my electric stove. Completely stuck. I couldn’t lift it off and neither could my husband. I took the contents out of the pan and turned the stove off in hopes that it would cool down enough and get unstuck by itself. While my husband and I are eating, we hear a very loud “POP” so I go over to the stove and lift the pan right off but not without noticing that parts of the bottom had MELTED OFF! I was very upset. It had been a few months since I had gotten them so I had used them a good amount of times so there was no “wrapping plastic” on them or anything and there was no food on the stove that could have melted or gotten it stuck somehow. I go over to try to scrub the burnt pieces off of my stove when I realized that the “POP” wasn’t just my pan becoming unstuck, it was my stove top CRACKING because of the pan. Keep in mind, these pots and pans are safe enough to go in your oven. I’m pretty sure my stove top does not get as hot as my oven. Never again will I be buying this brand again.

Almost what I was looking for...
I bought this skillet because it was the size that I was looking for to make my omelets. It is the perfect size but I was disappointed in the coating and the textured bottom. So far it has done ok but I prefer a slicker, smooth surface. It has held up well with no scratches, etc. It is also easy to clean except where the brads attach the handle. Food sometimes sticks around this area.

Best Non-Stick Cookware Ever!
I have to tell you that, if you need good non-stick cookware, buy the "Ayesha Curry Modern Tradition" . Very inexpensive, nice looking and no "seasoning" or "pre-treatment" needed. Just wash, dry & start cooking. I've been using mine for a few months now and have had zero problems. Usually, by this time, I have thrown out my non-stick frying pans because they don't remain non-stick - even with the most careful washing and handling and they get buildup on the outside which is removable only with scouring with steel wool. These AC pans look brand new & with no sticking on the inside and scouring at all on the outside. May be the best cookware I have ever bought!

I finally have a set
After buying the 12 inch, I decided to buy this set. Why, because the 12 inch covered is a little marvel. It heats evenly, it cooks to my preferred setting and results are impressive. I should have purchased the package in the first place. I highly recommend this line. Ms Curry, your cook skillets/pans age truly great. I have a gas stove and burners. We totally enjoy cooking in Ayesha's cooking ustensils.
