Golden Hands - GH-274 - Point Presser / Clapper

I suppose it doesn't matter that the point presser is made from a very light wood (meaning not heavy as opposed to light in color), but it is significant in the clapper part, since the entire reason for a clapper is to hold down the fabric after pressing to keep the fabric pressed. This item does ok but I have a clapper that doesn't have the point presser attached to it, and it is much heavier and works better. The point presser is nice to have on top of the clapper, but all in all I would have preferred separate ones that were heavier. Especially because the price wasn't mess less. This was a gift. I would not purchase another one.

Not a bad product. We use this for setting seams in quilting so the pieces fit together better. Works best with steam and a rigid base (not too much padding on the ironing board). Every sewing room should have one.
