I have a new hammock and it holds 600 pounds so wanted a strong Carabiner to be able to also hold a lot of weight , These are really perfect for the job , they are large and are suppose to hold to 5600 pounds so When we used for the hammock they were really easy to get it hung and secured and they are working great. I like the secure way that it screws and locks into place. These can be used for so many things besides hanging hammocks too. Will be a great way to use when rock climbing and feel safe. They are made from made from a super high-strength stainless steeI. And it comes with 2 in the pack that I bought pack

Initial order arrived, minus one carabiner. Package has been torn during shipment. The carabiner is a great value and seems well made. Notified KABB and they responded immediately. These are great heavy duty and durable locking biners! Great for top rope anchors or any other high-wear biner applications. They are very well advertised, except for maybe the fact that the nut is not steel, a softer non-ferrous metal which I assume is aluminum. This is actually a good thing because had it been steel and you were to really tighten it well, unlocking/unscrewing would be more difficult. Lastly, if using for purposes where ropes or slings are passing though, simply use the pivoting end. This is because towards the other end, the tips of the gate shaft stick out inwards and could cause excessive wear to the rope/sling. However, these can be simply be ground down. Again, a very good product!

After 4 months in a marine environment, I had to remove this clip from service. The entire clip was rusty and the latch was rusted so badly that it didn't move. In contrast, I've used other stainless steel clips for the same purpose for years with not a speck of rust. This is low-quality "stainless steel". It might be suitable for some applications, but I wouldn't buy it again.

These are real nice heavy duty STEEL carabiners. Not my first choice for carrying up on K2 or the Eiger, but for real world stuff like hammocks, overhead hanging of loudspeakers, etc. these inspire a lot more confidence that those typical who knows what alloy "not for load" junkers that other folks are selling. Highly recommended if weight is not an issue. They are forged steel.

Used this on a zipline to attach the rope with he seat to the trolley ; it is stronger than the way the rope was originally tied to the trolley. Now we can secure and bring the seat inside when the zipline is not in use. This stops the unauthorized use of the zipline.

I purchased this carabiner to hold on to my two dogs while I bundled up for guess at the car. It works great! String enough to handle the pulling weight of two 60 pound dogs. Love it.

Very nice machining & finish. I have used these for antenna tower work and have not had a problem with them.
