We live in the country but have neighbors close enough we didn't want our dogs disturbing them. We ordered this collar for one of our dogs that liked to bark at it's own shadow. Just the low tone and vibration setting has stopped the extranious barking. The collar worked so well we bought a second one for our watchdog. If there is really something to bark at, the dog barks, ignoring the low setting we have it on. If it's something not urgent such as another dog barking in the distannce, which previously elicited a low urgency need for competition, the collar tone and vibration is enough to distract her and stop the barking. We take the collars off one day a week for a couple hours and recharge them with the USB cable. The battery might last longer, but by doing it once a week, we don't forget.

It’s important to use this with a strict training routine in order to teach your dog why he is getting beeped/vibrated/shocked. Else you might risk terrorizing your pet... I believe it’s best to start with the beep/vibrate function with stern audible commands before graduation to the shock function, if barking continues. Persistence is key... Don’t expect this so be a stand alone solution until the training takes affect.

They wore these for 1 week before needing to be charged. These collars are doing the job, I don’t mind recharging them once a week. While charging they thought they were free to bark till I showed them the collar and they stopped immediately. I have smart dogs and they know I mean business and will put the collars on them.

The reviews helped definitely!! So thank you for that. I have a husky/shepherd mix and he is bullheaded to the max! It took a day in a half and this thing to be on full max to get through to him. He was a full-on barker, all day every day. Now it is so peaceful now. It was a little tricky to set up but nothing too bad. I don't know just yet about how well the battery holds a charge, as I just received it.

I love the fact that it gives my dog 2 chances with a chime, then a vibration, THEN the shock. At least, he has the chance. It has helped so very much and he still can bark a little.... so I am not silencing him completely.... but it warns him before he gets a shocking reminder!! Good product for the price.

Have 4 dogs, 2 little and 2 medium/big, and this collar handled them all. The nylon collar is what I used for all so lots of excess on the little dogs but can be cut off. Also has the EPDM collar option, it's a little tougher to get off because it has a regular buckle.Using the beep and vibration function to start and that alone was enough to make my house quieter in 2 days. Quality is good, recharge feature is nice and charger connection is a tougher round style, not USB, thank God. Batteries hold for about 5-6 days on beep and vibrate.

This bark collar is truly a miracle. Sam used to bark at everything! Well no more. It is as though he wanted to be a good dog but didn't know how. I have it set on the highest setting. I take the bark collar off at night and in the morning when he sees me pick up the bark collar he runs to me to have it put on.
