The Boys Omnibus Vol. 1

Gory, disgusting, and foul...I loved every page!

I bought this because I missed it when it was coming out, too many books already on the pull list and after loving the show I had to read source material but I have to say unlike the Preacher I liked the show better I think the story was tighter and the protagonist more like able. A little disappointed this first volume just kind of flew around the room like a balloon and then fell flat at the end

Ennis and Robertson made one helluva violent comincbook. There is no way they can show these graphics in a public forum. The TV show is watered down 10X compared to this comic book. You have been warned.Good read though. I recommend it to anyone that has the stomach of the gore and sex.Darick-with-one-R does a great job on the artistic visuals. He honed those skills on the excellent Transmetropolitan comic book, which I highly recommend any lover-of-science-fiction to read.

Dark, Twisted, Funny, Heartbreaking, Raunchy, and surprisingly Realistic considering what we are learning about celebrity culture today. If you are up for that much reality, check it out.

I love this comic! Or should I say graphic novel since it is a bit graphic? Anyway, can't wait for the show!

Excellent read. A great supplement to the Amazon series though it would be better to say the Amazon series is a great supplement to the comic. Characters are complex. Story is not one dimensional. Art is excellent. Just love that dog Terror. I did find the sexuality a bit much but oh well, perhaps I’m just getting old. Tons of fun.

If you are looking forward to the live action series, definitely check out the comics!

I didn't want to put the book down once I started reading.

I bought this for my boyfriend and he really liked it! So much so he is looking into buying some Compound V for himself! I told him it’s not real but he said he knows a guy called the butcher and thinks he can help get his hands on a vial of the stuff. He says he works down town by the old Woolworths building which is now an Iceland. I can’t help but wonder what his super power might be if he does manage to get hold of a vial though... Invisibility? Laser vision? Super speed? Super strength??? The possibilities are endless! Just like this series!

If you idolise superheros you wont like this....The Boys will spank the bas%/!s when they get outa line.Cant wait to see the tv series.

This comic series captured me straight away. It is such an original and interesting take on the superhero genre. At times full of wit, at others gore but at all times writing that is thought provoking. Brilliant.

absoluteky hilarious. Been a fan of the boys fir a while but never bought the omnibus edition and so glad I did. Excellent, hilarious, gratuitous vulgure which is exactly as The Boys should be. Great buy.

Great first Omnibus. Am in the process of buying and reading the rest of the series, upto Book 4 so far !
