I like this therapeutic waxer because it was reasonably priced and has two heat settings. It works as well as the professional waxers. I needed one of these because I damaged a ligament in my finger when I broke it. The physical therapist had one and recommended I try to find an inexpensive one to use. I read the reviews on some and decided I needed a two heat setting unit because some of the other reviews about other units mentioned they only had one setting and it was way too hot. This unit comes with 2 bags of paraffin was but I recommend you purchase one extra bag to fill it a little more full. It was too shallow to work well for my hand when I dipped it in with only the 2 bags of wax. So I ordered one more bag and it works wonderful now. It is large enough to put your foot into if you would want to use it that way. I haven't but I wear a 7 1/2 woman's size shoe and could fit my foot in it. I don't think a man could fit his foot into this unless he had very small feet.

This was a gift for my daughter who has sensory issues and loves tactile input. She really enjoys this kit! Beware that it can warm the wax up very HOT! We can not use it on the highest setting but someone with thickened calloused skin may be able to tolerate it and actually benefit from it.

This unit heats quickly and there is an auto off feature. Since the switch is manual, I put it on a timer to turn on in the morning and evenings so it is ready when I need it to help with arthritic hand pain.A criticism I have is that the lid just rests on top. There aren't any notches to hold it in place. As we do not have children, this is not a big issue. The terrycloth mist are large enough for my husband's large hands, but they are thin. So if you are using it for arthritis heat therapy, you will need to also what your hands in a thicker towel.I have a size 9 foot. It just fits without touching the metal at the edges.

I opened the box and got the machine going at once. I put in 2 blocks of wax and set it to low. The wax was melted in 20 minutes. I dipped my hands twice and what a difference! My hands are rough from being a dog trainer...this is just what I needed. Compact and lightweight too. Perfect temp at low and just the right size for hands. I highly recommend.

I have the beginning stages of athrites and my friend recommended getting ones of these to help with pain. I'm still using the wax that came with the set. I'm a sissy and can only handle the low heat setting. Oh man- it feels so good top emerge my hands into the hot wax. Let your hand drop off over the liquid wax for a few seconds before putting the plastic gloves on. Then the mittens. My favorite part is peeling off the wax after 20 min. I end up playing with the wax and make shapes lol. Hands end up super soft. I would highly recommend

I really liked the product until it stoped working... after using it 6 times! Siiiix!The green light turns on but it'll never hit. The parafine stays hard cold like my poor heart everytime I see the broken machine!The worst part is that I live abroad so I can't even get an AS.....

I cannot praise this product enough. I love, love, love this. Having fallen and injured my hand, my physical therapist advised me to purchase a paraffin bath and to use daily. It has helped more than I thought it could and the price was perfect. If anyone is wondering if a paraffin bath is worth it - believe me when I tell you IT IS !!!

Cheap doesn't begin to describe this product! The lid doesn't fit, it's more of a lose cover that just sits on the bowl. The on/off switch is flimsy plastic that's supposed to slide side to side, but feels like you're going to pop it off if you move it, but it's hard to slide side to side. The only plus side to this, is it does get the wax melted quickly and to a wonderful temperature, and that's mostly what I need it for. I will be ordering a better quality of wax for future use, ass this wax felt very greasy to me. The "mittens" that come with it are no thicker than a piece of paper and are so big, they serve no therapeutic purpose at all. They are supposed to help hold the heat in and they don't. I'm not going to return this, as the over all product does what it's supposed to, heat the wax. I am however disappointed in the quality and that I'm going to have to purchase more wax and better gloves, but that's just my personal preference. Overall, you get what you pay for, the machine is what I'm mostly concerned about, and for the price, it's not hateful, just not very good quality.
