Beauty in the Bible: Adult Coloring Book

I like the variety of scenes in this book.

While more expensive than some books, this newly published (2015) book's pictures are a welcome difference compared to some other adult books. The cover is a good indication of the sizes of pictures you have inside to color. As you can see, areas to color vary in size and are easier to see allowing you to use different types of coloring instruments. This book allows you to use different coloring medium and also allows for some shading. There are more pages to color than in some less expensive books. They also offer a few blank pages, allowing the artist to draw pictures of their own. They featured some of my very favorite encouraging and inspirational Bible verses, using easy to read/understand language. This is my favorite adult coloring book so far! Book was delivered on time and was in requested new condition.

If you're into this trend, then you know how relaxing and how much fun it can be for unwinding and downtime, the designs are pretty and thankfully not as intricate as some books are. You can finish one in one sitting if you'd like. The scripture is uplifting and helps in the peacefulness of it all. I plan to frame and share some of my completed ones with family and friends. Although it is not your personal drawing each one will be unique with your own touch. I liked this book so much I gave one to my elderly friend who showed interest in this trend, she was so thankful. I definitely recommend.

The artwork are beautiful and I'm looking forward to coloring and framing them. However, I am a little disappointed. The pages are lightweight. Light enough you can see through to the next page when you're looking at the pages. I was hoping to be able to use my water color pencils with it but won't be now. I would never buy this book at regular price. However, its good for the promotion price. Paige's work is definitely beautiful and worth buying it. You can't compare it to other coloring books because these are the type you would buy as regular print from watercolor artists like Paige. I love artwork like this book and always wanted someone to make it into coloring books. I'm glad Paige finally did it. The artwork is high quality, even though the book itself may not. Mine came in great condition, no bends, tears, etc.

I purchased this coloring book for my daughter as a gift. I was very pleased by the variety of verses and the nice variety of pictures. Some of these books seem to be the same things over and over.The pages are thick enough that she can use colored pencils or colored gel pens without worrying about bleeding through or tearing the paper. I was very impressed with the quality.If you're looking for some inspirational and relaxing coloring, then this is a great book to try!

Just to add to the abundant reviews -- BOOK TWO of Beauty in the Bible has a little bit larger illustrations, not as small and intricate as those in this first book...AND ALSO Crayola makes fine point "Twistables Colored Pencils" (also look for the erasable ones) that are perfect for these coloring books. I purchased the 30 pencil packs to go with each coloring book that I gave as a gift, and also kept one set for myself to toss in my "trip" bag for long plane/train/automobile trips, hospital waiting room visits, and friends with older girls who come for a visit.

Likes: The pages are very simple to color. Nice choice of book to color if you are not in the mood for complicated coloring.Dislikes: poor paper quality (very rough and thin), tiny tiny details especially most of the smaller words (that LOVE page killed my fingers, my pencils, my sharpener, and my eyes), lots of blank pages at the end, repetitive designs of leaves and flowers (a little too much), feels flimsy and too lightweight that the pages you are coloring will have the tendency to bend or have grooves.Otherwise, just have patience and have fun and you will end up with some cute pages that you could hopefully put in a frame to hang (l haven't tried it but that was one of the reasons why I bought this).

Got this as a gift for my younger sister and she loves it! Keeps her engaged and fun!
