An amazing entry level tablet
I purchased this tablet as I wanted to explore some alternatives to my Intuos Pen and Touch Medium.Upon arrival, I instantly tested it on my laptop and had no issues installing with the drivers. It performed decently enough so I moved it onto my main rig and inked/colored a drawing I'd done on paper the prior day. The accuracy from pen to monitor is great, at least using a 720p monitor, which is the highest resolution I have access too currently. I didn't find myself stopping and undoing as often as I did with my pen and touch. The hot keys all being on one side is huge as well, I have access to frequent shortcuts, I use one for the eraser key in Manga Studio, as well as for the pen/pencil key. The last two are reserved for brush sizes. This device does have tilt sensitivity, as well as 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity and higher line resolution according to the specs. If everything they state is accurate, for $40 you have an Intuos Pro medium minus the wireless, the eraser and a few hot keys. The pen feels pretty decent in the hand, though the pen's not rubberized at all, it's pure hard plastic, which works with me seeing how I'm used to inking with pigma pens. The nibs seem to be made of roughly the same material as the standard Wacom hard nibs, they wear at about the same rate. Unfortunately, the nibs are longer than the wacom nib by about 3.5 mm, which is enough to not make wacom nibs useable (I'm a big fan of the wacom flex nibs. If there was something comparable for this pen it'd be a slam dunk.)One of the pen's hotkeys is non-programmable, which bums me out because on my wacom, I would use the front switch for panning and the back key for undoing. I was only able to set the rear rocker for undo.I can't speak for long term reliability on the tablet, as I've only had it for a week or so. However, the build quality, while feeling cheaper than Wacom's entry level gear, still feels of good quality. It doesn't feel cheap at all. The buttons have a good clicky feel and a good response to them. For forty bucks, I don't think it can be beat. Definitely worth a shot if you're looking to getting into digital work and don't wanna drop a ton of money on Wacom.I've attached two drawings I've done using this tablet so far. There will be more.

Definitely not very good on the manual front either
I really hoped this was going to be my friend for a few years, but with the constant driver issues it's unusable.Whenever I open any art program (SketchBook Pro, PS, GIMP) only a few minutes in the pen stops working on anything except the drawing itself.I cannot change the mode or colors or even layers. We've even lost the graphics drivers attempting to adjust the settings and update the tablet drivers...Definitely not very good on the manual front either, and the settings for the pen calibrations and keys were buried in the main PC systems folder. This is much too frustrating to work with, (even with a Microsoft level 5 tech working on it) and with it being so old the driver issues aren't going to get any better. :(

Amazing tablet for the price
I use a Cintiq 13HD and sometimes an Intuos Pro Large when drawing at school, and I wanted my own tablet that didn't break the bank that I can also take with me. I looked around for tablets in the price range this one was, and this one caught my eye. I cannot give any information on how this tablet performs long term, but I think it will last for quite a while.Pros:* It has tilt* The pen and tablet are of decent quality. The pen feels nicely balanced, and the tablet itself barely flexes.* The pen experience is very good, almost comparable to Wacom's pens.* The drivers are easy to install, have enough features to customize how you use the pen and tablet* 4 customizable buttons, where you can make the tablet use a shortcut key, open programs, etc.Neutral:* I've never gotten the pen tilt to work in Photoshop, but it did work in Krita (a free painting program).Cons:* The pen only has one button on it.* The drivers could use some more features, such as having program specific bindings for the tablet and pen, so I don't have to mess with the hotkeys i'm used to.* The tablet's usb cord is nonremovable, so if it breaks, you might have a problem.Things to consider if you want to buy this:* It's about a medium size for tablets.* You will need to get use to it. The fastest way I got used to it was replacing my mouse with it for a couple of days until I adjusted.* The surface is slicker than Wacom tablets. If you're a beginner artist, on a budget, or need a portable and effective tablet, this is a solid recommendation. If I had a suggestion for Parblo, it would be to continue this particular tablet, and offer different sizes with the same features.

... but decided to try out this one since I liked the price better
So I was initially going to buy a different tablet but decided to try out this one since I liked the price better. My last tablet I had, the pressure sensitivity did not work so I was excited to see what it would be like with a pressure sensitive tablet. The Parblo Island A609 arrived and worked immediately upon plugging it into my computer. I did have to go online to download the drivers in order to make it pressure sensitive and to program the buttons. I love it. The pressure sensitivity is great and I can definitely see myself using this a lot in the future. The pen is also cordless and battery free (I guess I should have read up on how that works but I did not.) There is a small hole in the top so that you can put it on a string or something which I might do as I am notorious for losing pens. All in all, I am very pleased and I definitely recommend this tablet.

Good value
Bought this because I wanted to try drawing and didn't want to spend a fortune on a tablet. The tablet is really responsive and you can get some reasonable sensitivity with pencil strokes. I mainly use it with Autodesk Sketchbook which is free and has quite a lot of versatility for freehand drawing. The tablet does sometime switch off when your computer goes to sleep so you just have to unplug it and re-connect - no biggie. Haven't figured out what the buttons do yet but it is just the job for me.

If in doubt, don't be.
I read a LOT of reviews and watched videos about a number tablets, and I read this one was very high quality for its price, and felt great to draw on. Granted I do not have any previous experience with other tablets, but this tablet is silk smooth to draw on, nice size, easy to use. Would recommend to anyone looking to get into drawing with a tablet.

WILL NOT WORK AS INTENDED!
When you try to install drivers from website it crashes pc. I believe UK levels of pressure do not work. Shame I waited so long to try it. It's just the right size and looks good for the price but avoid as it will not work as intended!
