Sarong Wrap - Ornate Batik Hand Painted Island Pareo Cover Up

My son and his wife gave me this pareo a few years ago and it is so beautiful I did not want to use it for every day wear. (I use pareos and sarongs in place of a robe half the year since we have such nice weather in Southern California). I recently took it on vacation with me to Louisiana and my elderly aunt was enthralled with it so I ordered another one to give to her. As I chided her not to "save it" (so beautiful), I decided to use mine more often as well.The fabric is heavy-weight for a pareo/sarong, finished edges, distinct colors, washes well though I use cold water and light iron, I am 5'7" and about 25 pounds overweight. It easily wraps around me and goes to below my knee length though I sometimes fold the top down a tad before wrapping to get the above-knee look. I don't just wear it around the house. It is lovely for beach or pool as a cover-up. It is so pretty, it could serve as a rectangular furniture cover (table/or?)It truly is a piece of art having been made the old-fashioned way, one color at a time (batik-method) with wax used to protect as different colors applied.

It was not as on the picture so I repainted myself ! now looks grate !
