We purchased this because several keys on our HP laptop stopped working (and it was inexpensive). I would recommend this to anyone who's comfortable disassembling their laptop and working with small pieces and connectors. It works great, and we're happier with it than we were the original keyboard on the laptop (which was shiny and slippery). Would definitely buy it again!

I was not used to this keyboard layout and the white on the keys wore out even faster than my original keyboard now I can't see the letters on two keys since I bought this, the letters wore off within 1-2 months of use and I do not use lotion or eat at my desk and keep my laptop pretty clean and do not use harsh wipes or chemicals to clean off my keyboard.
