Perfect for making your own jumps. Using a drill press for the wood is the best way to do it. That way these go in straight and level. These are perfect and I would buy again

Awesome! Most of the time these are made so you have to insert a pin. The pin is often lost or broken. Here it's all in one with no parts to lose. We love them. Built well and sharp looking. Have had many comments from visitors.

there are no sharp edges and these are very easy to move, no pins! Holds PVC and wood.

I did lot's of research on these and made sure I was ordering the correct ones. I ordered the Gem Manufacturing Dapple Equine PVC Standards Jump Cup - for PVC, not wood. That's what the cups were labeled too when they arrived, but they do not work with 4x4 PVC posts. The pin is too short, and the holding leg is too tight against the post. HUGE fail and waste of money. I love the idea of these cups and appreciate the need for different versions, but the PVC versions DO NOT work on standard 4x4 PVC posts. See the photos for how these fit and the measurments, they don't fit with any sort of adjustment. I'm sure they would work fine on wood posts.Had to go with another brand and version advertised to work on PVC posts. Guess what? They work fine!

We love these jump cups! However, in the picture it shows a 4 x 4 post, when we received them in the mail we found that they had to be mounted on a 2 x 4. We notched a groove in the back of the 2 x 4 for the back support to rest in. If interested I can add pictures to show how they worked, just know they are not like the ones pictured, but we found a way to make them work and they are great!

Thicker diameter than I anticipated. Had to increase the size of the holes on my posts to fit.
