Don Pasquale Vocal Score Italian Paperback – April 1, 2004

These Ricordi cloth-bound editions are the most well-bound vocal scores I own. In comparison to the soft-cover editions of these operas, these cloth-bound ones actually stay flat on the piano, and have withstood daily wear and tear surprisingly well. This is the best edition to get of the great Italian standards (except for Mozart!), so be sure to get the cloth-bound—it's well worth the small difference in price!

This book with the full orchestra score for Don Pasquale is an excellent handbook and worth the money.Allthough the notes are sometimes a little bit too small for me, I could read and play it like it was mentioned.So if you want a good orchestra score book for Donizetti's Don Pasquale this is the one to get.

When I ordered this score I was hoping it would be an Italian/English score. However, since the descriptions for opera scores on this site are sketchy at best, I was slightly disappointed when I received it. I prefer performing operas in their original language, but the company I was working with at the time was performing in English. The price is great for a hardcover Ricordi score, but don't get this one if you think you'll ever have to sing it in English.

I do not understand the one other review here, unless the reviewer was sent the wrong item. The book is clearly described as being a "full score", which is what it is. It is far from being just a libretto, giving both the libretto and the orchestral parts. It is exactly what I ordered on the basis of the description and is fine - as one would hope from Ricordi.
