For the money, this is great value. My son is just starting a YouTube channel and he wanted something to use for voiceover. For 12 quid this is perfect, sound quality is good, seems robust too, it’s been dropped and bashed a lot and still works. Easy to use, just press the button, light goes red and you’re off!

Works really well once it's working. I have a 2017 macbook air and it didn't immediately recognise the mic in settings. I learned I had to have the mic switched on (the red light button depressed) before i plugged in the usb and then it would show up. If you plug it in and only then turn the red light on the Mac just won't recognise it. Great sound so far from testing on Zoom, excited to use for my classes :)

This microphone is pretty good for its price, it plugs in well into PC. However, my PC marks it as unrecognised but it still works. That may be an issue for some users. It's very easy to set up and use, and has considerably improved my audio quality from previous microphones.

Pressing the mute button actually causes it to disconnect from windows and it then vanishes causing my PC to switch to another input source. This makes the mute function useless

This was bought as an emergency replacement whilst waiting for more expensive mic to arrive. The sound quality is adequate for the price. There is a noticeable amount of noise and the dynamic range is a little limited, but it is okay for mostly speech. There is an annoying little bug on the one I have. I can press the mute button on the mic to mute it, but I can't unmute it again, without having to unplug the whole mic and replug it into the computer again. This bug pretty much renders it almost unusable for me. So it is now stored at the back of the drawer.

I needed to very quickly make a work presentation recording my voice on PowerPoint but my laptop didn't recognise its own internal microphone. I bought this USB microphone and it was an instant fix! Simply plugged in and it was ready to go. No messing about with installing or downloading anything. A great little microphone which has saved my bacon!

I bought this to use with my laptop for my church home group, along with a USB plug in speaker. We meet in largish living room. A couple of our members cannot attend as the husband is bedbound so we are using Zoom. With my laptop alone the couple could not hear anyone in the room quietly spoken or not near the laptop, and we could not hear the couple well. Using this microphone, the speaker and an HDMI lead to connect with a TV screen, has made all the difference, and enabled the couple to continue to 'join' with us, hearing those in the room, while we can also hear and see them.

The sound quality is adequate. The sensitivity is adequate. The base weight is inadequate (17g) and it topples over if the mic is angled out. I replaced the weight with 4 large washers (28g) and it now stands up. (The base can be removed by gently prying off.) The main downside of this mic is that the on/off button simply disconnects the USB cable. This means that windows takes about 10 seconds to load up the USB driver and activate the audio input. OK for disabling the mic for long periods but no good for any push to talk while gaming.The microphone I received is different to that shown in the photos. The internal weight shown in the exploded view is not present, just a small square lump. The metallic microphone gauze shown does not exists, just holes molded into the plastic. The "Anti-slip rubber pads" are just foam stickers. The listing states it contains a lithium ion battery - it does not. The listing states it has two channels, it does not, only one.
