[4 in 1] WeChip W3 Air Mouse Remote, [Thinner and Lighter] 2.4G Motion Sensing Controller with Keyboard for Android TV Box, Smart TV, PC, Projecteur, Laptops, HTPC

Having been disappointed with other air mouse type remotes, which often failed, I looked closely at the WeChip 1 and 2 remotes.Whlst searching I found the newer WeChip 3 which looks spectacular!It has a very simple set of controls on the front, with a useful back/home combined button.Neither of the faces works unless it is upwards facing avoiding the risk of inadvertent button pushing when holding the remote.Mouse cursor function is perfect, set at sensitivity 2 (of 4) in the factory. Often compared with the Apple remote this is a stylish piece of kit.Early days but so far I am very happy!

I use this to remote control a Windows HTPC with Kodi installed.I plugged in the paired Bluetooth dongle that came with it in my PC and it worked without any additional configuration.Kodi interactions can be done with the buttons on the remote without the need of keyboard or air mouse and works really well. Since that is most of what I need it for it's perfect for me.I only use the keyboard and mouse when I need to interact with the underlying Windows OS, so not often.The air mouse works but it's kind of hard to use so wouldn't recommend for any extended use. The keyboard works well but again it is small so not for frequent use.For the price it's pretty good I think.

Let's start with the good things.It is small, light and fits in the hand well. It is also easy to charge as it use USB C.It has a nice feature where the air mouse turns off when you turn it over to use the keyboard.The ability to copy functions from other remotes is also good. Luckily the places I teach use TVs that use the same remotes so I have taught it to turn them on from a button the remote.The things I don't like.While it is small and thin this does mean it there is no built in storage for the receiver. I ended up designing and 3D printing a case with cover so they don't get separated (and helps to remind me to unplug the receiver before I leave.)It does tend to lose calibration easily. It is easy enough to recalibrate using the button, but it always seems to do it when you least want it to and you find yourself doing it a lot sometimes.I think this is more a problem with the receiver losing connection because sometime the keyboard does not type or types a long line of the same letter.Talking about the keyboard, it is small and compact but usable. But it lacks a TAB button and you have to use the function key to type numbers and special characters. This is not too bad but you have to press it again to turn it off. If you forget (even though there is a small light to tell you) you end up typing a long line of gibberish.But let's be honest. I have paid more for simple clickers to control just presentations. This offers a lot more usability with quirks that you can easily learn to live with.

Firstly, I would like to say that the idea behind this product was a fab, innovative concept. Had it worked the way it was portrayed, all the better but alas, it was not to meant to be.I was so excited to receive this product, especially from the great reviews I read but such is the story of my life, it was an epic fail.I'm a very tech savvy person and trying to get this to work, became as frustrating as an HP printer!Following the very minimal and basic instructions was a doddle. It seems that the execution, not so much.The way the LED light is supposed to inform you of the current status - yeah, NOPE!All it did was flash or not as the case may seem. No dimming and brightening. No three fast flashes to confirm it's learned.As for unpairing/re-pairing or factory resetting. That's also a, 'not on your Nellie' occurrence. Much like a defiant teenager, it did what it wanted and only when it wanted to.Therefore, this little gadget is winging it's way back to the great WEEE pile in the sky, whilst I await the 'instant' (sense the sarcasm?!) refund to my Amazon account. Only for me to purchase more, low waged labour, cack from the east.

Extremely light and smaller than expected. Connectivity was poor with a range of maybe two or three metres. Doubt this would work if your device is in a media cabinet.Used this with a Nvidia shield and found the lack of play/pause button very difficult as depending on what app (Netflix for example), this may not work.Very well priced however as a emergency back up remote.

Although it is surprisingly small, it certainly does the job, and then some. I use mine on a media streamer wich took to it like a duck to water. The cursor glides effortlessly to where I want it to be by tilting the remote. The keyboard is responsive and I am more than happy with the Air Mouse. I may invest in another one for the tv. Happiness at a great price too.

First the good points, it's nice looking, the air mouse function works well and you can alter the speed of the cursor. Copying the power button function from another remote worked after some trial and error. Rechargeable via usb C.The not so great points, it's very lightweight, I don't think it could handle being dropped too many times. The back/home button only works for going back a page, not for going directly to your home page. The keyboard keys are tiny, seriously, make the remote 10mm longer and wider and give us a bigger keyboard in future please

almost perfect remote, what a surprise a power off button didnt work for my android tv box with kodi. 2 seconds of googling and it will show u how to teach your remote from original one. now everything works as it should and the keyboard is magic. it would be the best remote in the world if there is a backlit. but still im giving 4.99 out of 5
