The rack was fairly easy to put together, but you will need a wrench to hold the bolts in place. I didn’t have one, so I used pliers, which wasn’t the best, but it got the job done. When I got it put together, I realized one side of the rack was missing half the rubber guards. I filled out a form on the company’s website & someone contacted me within a few days & a week later, I received replacements. It was only missing 5, but they sent me 7, so I have extra now.As other reviewers have pointed out, there is a bit of a smell at first, but it’s not as bad as some made it seem. Only noticeable when you’re using them or standing right next to them.Love the look of the black handles and the price was great! I did purchase during prime day, so they were on sale. Would definitely recommend though.

I’m baffled at some of the reviews citing ashtray and chemical health concerns, etc. it’s rubber. Period. You walk into a tire store or the back of a Sam’s Club where they sell tires and you smell rubber….and your garage will smell like new tires for a period of time as well. There was residue on them but all I did was fill two buckets, one with Dawn and another to rinse, and then I dried them. Ultimately the rubber smell remains for a short time after, but now I have a clean set without residue. All good! I did get a burr mark in my finger from use but if you use workout gloves, no concerns. I would buy these again. The rack is fine and be careful of your fingers when you place back into the rack (use a couple fingers only), but these look good and are built to last.

These barbells are fantastic. They work for me, and they were a great price. Some people are complaining about the smell of the rubber. Well, the smell quickly went away within a week and if you're looking for a nice smelling barbell, perhaps you should get a bouquet of flowers instead of barbells, Barbara. Installation of the stand was quick and easy. I did have one bolt break during installation. All I had to do is email then, and they had sent me a replacement bolt within 3 days. That's customer service.

The product arrived in four separate packages—one containing the rack and three with the weights. Unlike what some previous reviews mentioned, there was no unpleasant odor or oily residue on any of the items. I was prepared for those issues based on other feedback, but I’m glad to report that I didn’t experience them. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the purchase and would highly recommend this product.

Overall happy with the purchase for the price. The dumbbells came oily and dirty (I assume freshly pressed with no finishing) so they needed an immediate wipe down to get all the debris and oil off. My hands were covered with black I left the rags in the picture to show you how many rags it took. Also one of the dumbells had a piece of metal sticking out of it that pricked me: also pictured.

Good quality weights. I like how the weights are rubber coated so they don't scratch up the floor. They are easy and comfortable to use. The rack is sturdy and holds the weights well. The overall set is pretty compact and doesn't take up a lot of space. Very happy with these weights.

Just what I needed! Great quality and just as described. The seller was very responsive when I didn’t think I had received everything but they responded immediately and I found the package on my side porch where UPS placed it.

For the money it's a pretty solid set of weights. It's easy to assemble the stand. The weights, as others have mentioned are coated in a thin sheen of oil from manufacturing. So give them a quick wipe down and you're good to go. Personally, I think the A-frame they sit on is too vertical and makes it a nuisance to pull the weights off and slide them back on. If it was a little more spread out it would be much nicer to use. But they have a good selection of weight, and for the cost it's a nice set.
