The best mic I have.
This mic has absolute clear sound. I have tried to find free-standing mics for my videos at a comparable price, but end up going back to this one. I had to super glue the cover on because it kept coming off, and it doesn't work when I pin it anywhere on my clothing, so when making vids I have to hold it up directly to my mouth (which is why I'm still trying to find a free standing one with the same quality with no luck so far. ) but, when I do the sound is really great, especially for the price.

Good Lav For $10 dollars
The media could not be loaded. As ThePandaPhotographer, I am always looking for new gear for audio but most importantly for my Youtube review. Audio is very important for content creators to build their channel. This is Lavalier Mic there was some things i didn't like about it and some things I do like about it. First and foremost I would like to say that this Lavalier mic can be use from Android smartphones and Apple iPhones. The package includes an adapter that converts into a normal micro jack for your laptop or android smartphones. The second items was a hard adapter to extend the lavalier mic for iPhone. The third was an extra windscreen for the mic just in case you lose the first one. This is an Omnidirectional Condenser Lavalier mic and there are different type of lavalier mics on the market so please choose carefully. The sound quality is good when speaking about 8 inches away when place on a shirt from mouth but picks up a ton of background noise. If you re planning to use this for an voice audio, it's best to edit the audio or use a H1N recorder or anything secondary recorder for best results. My trick was to use electric tape and wrap it about the lavalier mic to cut down on the background noise and it has made a differences. This is not going to be the top of the line lavalier microphone with HIGH quality features like rode. The shielding on this microphone is very poor but key notice was the long wire. Now if you bend it a few time or damage the wire length by accident while storing it, it seem to me that it will lose its build quality and might just get destroyed from the inside. Notes some audio interference when touch the cord and audio cut and in out. Then it just got worst over time.I've order another one to test to be sure and both behave the same. (SO BE CAREFUL HOW YOU STORE OR WRAP THE LAV MIC). The one thing that I must say about this lavalier mic is the clip, it's made out of aluminum and strong teeth to ensure the mic will not just fall of your talent while recording a interview.Personally I am going to stick with Rode lavalier mics because of the build quality and better audio, but most importantly the shielding. I will use this for secondary usage when I need to use itPros1) Price2) Good Audio For The Price3) Long Cord4) Extra adapters and converter5) Excellent strong mic clipCons1) Too much background noise being pick up2) Poor shielding3) Audio is standard but not great ether

Worth Every Cent
I loved this thing but I lost it after like a week of having it. Idk if it was on a walk or somewhere in this house. Either way I'll be ordering another one here soon to replace it. It sounded great honestly when I was recording with it. Even with it under my winter jacket I got great clear sound out of it. I've heard of some where you have to talk directly in one direction or hold it in your hand while talking in order to get good sound. This is not one of those, honestly for the price along with an extension cable it's one of the best things I've bought. You can use it as is and just plug right into your phone and then hit record and drop the phone in your pocket, no one will ever know and you can sync audio later when editing you videos. I also purchased a 25ft extension cable so I could record in my room on my green screen and have the cable plugged directly into my computer from across the room. Absolutely worth every penny.

For $8 it works and is packaged nicely
Pretty good for under $8. It increases the overall recording volume. It's not a top quality high end Mic that eliminates noise or gives you rich full sound but it works for it's intended purpose. Comes with an adapter TRS 2 ring wire as well as a 3 ring TRRS adapter. Works good on my Note 8 but for some reason not on my S4 Active. The cord is about 5 - 6ft long but I wish it was 10 - 30ft long.

Great sound quality but mine had hissing issues in a couple weeks.
For the price this microphone was clear and well built. After my kids got hold of it starting hissing on recordings and I'm not sure if they damaged it or it was naturally failing. When I initially got it the audio was clear, dynamic, with excellent bass capture and light on the treble. It did not pick up much background noise until it was damaged/failed? Would try it again if needed for a budget Lavalier Mic.

Works perfectly, BUT it was missing the adapter that allows it to connect to my DSLR camera!
It was missing the adapter that allows it to function on cameras (Circled red in the photo). The package contents was missing the microphone adapter and it would not work for my DSLR camera; It did however work on my phone (Samsung Galaxy), and with my MacBook Pro. The Silver adapter I believe is a 4 section (3 black stripes) jack to convert from a 3 section microphone jack (may come in handy for some that have a microphone with 3 sections/ two black stripes), and not necessary for use with this microphone. Overall the sound quality is amazing for the price, however I was excited about the microphone adapter (two black lines on the jack) that allows you to use this microphone on cameras but was not in the package! I recommend this product because it is very well priced for great sound quality! However, you may receive one with something missing, maybe it could be replaced?

DON'T BUY! - Update 3/30/18 - Changed to 5 Stars after Good Response from Company
Piece of Crap! Didn't even work out of the box. Tried several devices and made sure external mic was selected. Other external mics worked for my various devices. Don't waste your money. I bought because of the stars but as you read the reviews, many received dead ones too. Save yourself wasted cash and headache, just buy a higher quality mic. I shopping for a new one now. 1 star!Update. 3/30/18 - I emailed the company and told them the mic didn't work. They sent me six mic replacements (I only asked for 1 replacement per the warranty) within a week or so. No questions asked. I tested two of the six and they worked. Sound quality is okay but you get what you pay for, an affordable mic you can use with your smartphone. I used the mic with a Samsung S8 and the standard camera app that came with the phone.

Will almost certainly not be your audio quality bottleneck.
In short: This lapel mic is absolutely excellent. Don't be fooled by the low cost. Read on for some expensive lessons I've learned over the last 4-5 months:I have been experimenting with a Blue Yeti, a Zoom H1, a Rode VideoMicro and now this lapel mic. I have been using those microphones/recorders directly, and also plugged into my Huawei GR3 phone, the audio input of my Nikon D7200 camera, and the audio and USB inputs of my laptop. The distance from the sound source to the mic is TWENTY time more important than the quality of your mic. If you can get your mouth within 1 handspan of the mic you are doing ok. With a lapel mic, you can be closer than that. I can't emphasise this enough - it was impossible for me, with a range of devices, some of which are quite expensive and sought after, to get a good result without being literally on top of the microphone. Hence my looking at this lapel mic. I should have bought it first! With a shotgun mic, it's very difficult to get high enough audio levels without cranking up the camera pre-amp and that introduces tons of noise. For my D7200, vol 8 out of 20 is about as high as I want to go without introducing extra noise from the preamp. Leave it at 8-10 max, and it's easy to normalise that audio later in post processing. With the zoom h1, the sweet spot is 40-60 input level.if you're using an Android phone, ditch the built in recorder app and go for something decent like the ASR app, and go through the settings, and set it up well - it will record in high quality wav format, and you can turn off all the features like noise reduction and so on, and do a better job in post processing with audacity. In short, for my needs, this lapel mic and a phone are acceptably good. This lapel mic plugged into the camera or zoom sounds absolutely excellent. Wish I could have found this information before I started!

Easy to set up and use
Easy to set up and use. At first I plugged it into my laptop and was confused on why I could only record sound but not hear any, but after contacting the seller or a representative named Alice, I was able to understand why. It was explained to me that I had to purchase an audio splitter in order to record and listen to sound.Overall good value for money even with the extra purchase of an audio splitter.

Works perfectly with my GoPro Hero 9
I was hesitant to buy this at first as it was inexpensive but it took me by surprise how good it is , I did have to put the supplied adapter on to work as without it it was terrible and made crackling sounds and I could hardly hear myself.I would highly recommend this mic
