A Beautiful Book Of Poetry From A Fantastic New Poet!
Poetry. It illuminates the mind and speaks from the heart. Poetry is the art of piercing the soul and opening oneself for all the world to see.It allows poets to pour their hearts out and wear their emotions out on their sleeves, whether they be hopeful, romantic or sometimes sad. Inthe book Adultolescene, poet Gabbie Hanna shows the world the humor she's become known for and the depth and emotion that dwells within her, andis brought to stunning life through over 200 pages of rich poetry and beautiful illustrations. Here is a synopsis:From Teen Choice Award-nominated comedian and vlogger Gabbie Hanna, known on YouTube as The Gabbie Show, an astounding debut poetry collection that captures the essence of what it means to come of age in today’s world.Full of confessional, whimsical, and darkly humorous observations about life, love, and the early years of adulthood, this collection of over 150 poems, each illustrated by Gabbie herself, will introduce you to the unique point of view of one of the internet’s most remarkable voices. The popular online personality showcases her incredibly smart comedy skills with her heartfelt emotional tales of breakups, childhood and loss, and the struggle many young adults face as the years between childhood and adulthood are bridged. The piercing emotions displayed in these poemsis beautiful, sometimes tragic and yet authentic in every way. Poems such as "Time", which explores the connections we make with loved ones, or"Poetry", which shows the struggle to communicate the feelings one has for someone they love. One poem that I especially loved was a short onecalled "Nap", which in it's simplicity spoke volumes of the feeling of loss that feels like it will never heal, and yet often is reawokenunexpectedly. These poems are a real work of art, and it's refreshing in this digital age to see the art of poetry is not dead but thriving in our society. The recent trend of online personalities writing their memoirs has been a popular trend that I have enjoyed, but this change of writingstyle-wise is a fantastic approach to opening the readers minds and hearts and discusssing important topics in sometimes lighthearted and oftenimpactful ways. Whether you buy this book as a fan of Gabbie's or as a true lover of poetry, this is a book everyone needs to have in their lives. If you haven't yet, be sure to pick up your copies of Adultolescence by Gabbie Hanna today!Rating: 10/10

GABBIE AND THE TECHNICOLOR BOOK HANDLE
The 2 Adultolescence came to me in blue which...BLUE me away! HahahahhahahahahahaI'll go home. (Actually I really wanted to see if I'd get a diff color but it's cool now it'll look matchy next to my Egghead Poetry books and my Silverstein collection)Anyway Gabbie's book was absolutely amazing! Some poems so simplea yet clever, they are ingenious! After the the dedication page...I liked it after the authors note I was hooked but that FIRST POEM GABBIE OH YOU! You hella got me! Haha it's called "Unexpected" and the real kicker is she makes fun of herself as another YouTuber writing another book, which i think it's amazing! I make fun of myself all the time or I'd probably crawl under a rock from everyone else who does if I don't first!I really say which poem is my favorite because they are all so unique in feeling and how they are written but they make me feel amazing whether I'm laughing or crying my eyes out (*cough* 12 times *cough*) Gabbie and her book inspire me to keep writing, drawing, writing songs, and go after each one of my dreams because obviously I don't have to do just one thing, I can be many things just like Gabbie! And even though I'll probably never meet you gabbie, I know that we have so much in common (perhaps even in the looks department lol) and I'll always keep you in my heart, not only has someone I look up to but as a close friend whom I wish the world for! And the most important lesson you've taught me in your book: DONT BE LOTION!

the most relatable 248 pages ever
This is the most relatable book I’ve ever read in my life. Normally I find it hard to relate to poetry specifically because it’s usually too vague or difficult to understand/interpret (at least for me). This book was a totally different story (pun intended). It wasn’t so straightforward that it was boring, yet captured every emotion I’ve ever had in a way that was easy to relate to and not cliché. I didn’t spend more than 10 seconds on any poem trying to find a way to relate or figure out what it’s supposed to mean, because they say what they mean. Exactly what they mean. Nothing in this book beads around the bush or sugarcoats anything. It says what it needs to say in a way that is so unbelievably enthralling. I’m not lying when I say I couldn’t put it down. There’s something in here that relates to everyone. I don’t care if you don’t like Gabbie on YouTube or Vine or whatever, you will like her after reading Adultolescence. Gabbie, if you’re reading this, you did a phenomenal job. Congratulations on finding your passion.💜 (also, my favorite poem is Self-Help)

A book to fall in love with over and over again
This book, from start to finish is easily one of the most heartwarming, relateable, real as it can be pieces of literature I have read in my lifetime. Gabbie Hanna has a wonderfully eclectic writing style, that makes reading each page its very own adventure. Her poems are a mixture of heart felt messages, thought provoking honesty, and comedic subtleties carefully placed throughout. The illustrations paint a detailed picture that brings the book to life as you turn each page. As a person who struggles with anxiety and depression, I read Adoltolescence like it was an old friend, each page touching my heart in a familiar way. This is a book I could easily read hundreds of times, and find new favorites each time. Thank You Gabbie Hanna for putting your heart into this book. It shows on every page. (Poems that hit very close to home: Strangers, New, Metaphor, Sticks, BFF, Recess, Irony )

Shel Silverstein and Dr Seuss are Shook
This book was v entertaining to read. I loved the mix between serious and funny. I've been waiting and watching while Gabbie has been preparing to drop the book and now that its finally here I love that I can see all the hard work that she's put into the book! All together it was a great read and I can't wait to lend it out to friends (or tell them to buy it) !Ps. Its definitely not just a book for fans of her youtube.. its super relatable and not some garbage book for little obsessive kid fans. Im 22 and loved it!

Un libro brillantee
Los poemas del libro son tan brillantes como oscuros, que es lo que se espera de ellaEl libro tiene una pequeña tara y unas hojas un poco despegadas
