Cares for your wood
I bought this cleaner based on a recommendation and I am not disappointed. I use it on my wooded kitchen sides, my LVT flooring and my oak dining table and it cleans fantastically. It leave a light citronella smell and isn’t harsh. As it has oil in it it cares for the wood too.

Amazing wood cleaner
I got a real shock one day when I realised just how dirty and grimy my banisters were! I could scrape my nails though the grime and felt so ashamed. I looked on Amazon for something to clean them and found Murphy's Oil, which is amazing, and good for my kitchen cupboards too (not very dirty, I might add, just round the handle part). Mix a CAP of the oil with 3 cups water (unfortunately there are no instructions on bottle as to how to use for banisters, only for wooden floors) so I used guesswork, which works OK - and there you are, lovely shiny banisters (but you might need a bit of elbow grease as well!) Highly recommended and well worth the cost.

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but…
Nice gentle smell, almost an orange peel fragrance. So here’s the truth. If you have natural wood floors with a grain or a contoured laminate floor, you need to scrub the floor first with bristles to remove any ingrained dirt from the grains within the wood. There’s no getting away with this. I used my vac carpet shampooer which has rotating brushes and did the job perfectly. I’m not suggesting you try this if you have one. I’m saying it worked brilliantly on my solid oak floor. You might have to use a scrubbing brush that has a long handle. Use Murphy to complete this step.Once scrubbed, clean with Murphy and a soft mop using hot water. (Not boiling) Use half an American cup which is 3 fluid ounces in the UK.Following that process the floors should be lightly mopped with Murphy every 2/3 days to stop any build up of dirt within the wood grain.Leaves a nice smell and the floors look clean but not particularly shiny. Don’t overdo the Murphy liquid as it will leave a visible sticky residue and doesn’t make the floor any cleaner.
