it's so good.
Absolutely fabulous item. Works really well. Bought for my husband who works on fibre optic and he said he would give it 6 stars if he could, it's so good.

Cheap plastic but works great. Not sure how durable it will be but the price was right and this helped me determine where the fault was in a fiber cable. I ordered for "one time use" but it is on the shelf if I ever need it later! Not sure how it would stand up to drops etc but it does have a case so that should help some. I was surprised by how bright it was at the fault side, it was brighter than a Christmas tree light!

Cheap tool, but does the job. Doesn't include any fiber tip adapters (not sure what the pictured two pieces are really for)
Cheap tool, does the job. I'm not really sure what the two included fiber ends are for... I wish it came with a few terminator adapters for common fiber tips which is not what the include little bits are.

Handy and bright
You need one of these if you have to work with fiber infrastructure at all. Directly fits male SC connector (cable end). You will need adapters/cables to connect to female (panel) SC or other types. The included adapters are for unterminated fiber. You will also probably want loopback(s) for testing both fibers from one end.Pros: Very bright. Still bright through 3000m of single-mode. Flashing mode makes it more obvious and easy to find behind end caps, etc.Value price.Cons: Plastic body. Batteries change through long side hatch, not end cap as pictured. And it eats them fairly quickly, although this is expected for such a bright light.
