Great tablet, has brilliant potential
As it's a fairly new product, the tablet does fairly well and the software was thought through though there is a few things needed to bring this up to par with such things as a Samsung tablet or even an iPad.We desperately need a keyboard case for this, so many times I've been sitting doing something with split screen and using the on-screen keyboard just doesn't make sense, a keyboard case would give the needed protection when off the dock and make it a pretty good tablet for even doing work on.I can see potential for a stylus, could integrate well with keep and other apps.. it seems like Google may be cooking something with this and the keyboards. The dock functionality is truly revolutionary, the majority of the time it just works and the fact it becomes another speaker in a house with other ones is an added bonus, I love the little frog screensaver that can keep kids (and myself honestly) mesmerized for hours seeing what it'll do next.. one thing however, the dock...The dock itself is absolutely terrible, worse sound quality than a nest mini and even the original Google home, I don't know what Google were thinking trying to market it for roughly £140. Get a nest hub or pay an extra £70 for a nest hub max. This tablet severely needs a "Max" variant of the dock, it could open up the real potential of being a hybrid tablet and media station or the perfect aid for your kitchen, give me sound almost on par with the original Google home max and I'll buy that dock the day it comes out.5 stars as the only let down is the dock speakers themselves, the docking functionally works quite well.

Ok. But annoying white line at the bottom of the screen that never goes away.
As per title. The annoying line at the bottom never goes away. Apparently this is a problem with all Pixel devices. Samsung have an option to disable it, but not Pixe.I like the fact that I can dock it. I am mostly using it as a second screen. Streaming sports when I am already watching something else on my main display. It sucks as a Home Hub. I have the Nest/Google Hub and I still prefer to use that. I have disabled the microphone on this tablet.

Really great
I have come to this tablet from an iPad and I can tell you it's absolutely amazing in comparison. So much to personalize, picture perfect, sound is really good on tablet but even better when docked. Like that can leave on dock and everyone in the house can use to put on music/TV/movie of there choice. Totally recommend.

Great tablet
The battery life is satisfactory on this tablet, very similar to its competitors. It takes a while to charge the tablet again, a bit longer than it has taken on other tablets. The ergonomic design makes this a nice tablet to hold and touch. The feel is good and it feels stable in your hand, and doesn't feel like it will slip out.Multiple windows can be displayed together and it's really easy to switch between them, making this very user friendly. The swipe action is very easy to control and isn't too sensitive to touch. The dock is an excellent feature, and I particularly like that the device charges when placed on the dock. It looks neat around the house and doesn't look out of place, like charging wires would. The tablet attaches well to the dock and is stable. It is also easy to remove. For me, the 8GB RAM makes this vert fasy in terms of performance, and is more than I need. The 128GB storage is also plenty for me, but if you require more, then there is no memory card slot so this may be an issue for you.The picture display is excellent, the colours are crisp and the tablet takes great photos. The sound quality is pretty good, it's not as good as other competitors' tablets, but I wouldn't say there is a significant difference. All in all, this is a great performance tablet, coupled with the smart home feature. There are a couple of things that could be improved but that is the case with all tablets on the market, so I think this is a reasonable buy.

Fab Tablet - Not A Home Hub Replacement
Great device with 2 main features. A great tablet with enough power for general use, but missing some features as a Google Hub Max replacement. I suspect they’ll update the dock features soon, but don’t expect it to work with Nest Hello or other hub features.

Pretty bad as a tablet
The whole dock thing is a gimmick which adds limited value, and as a tablet, it lags behinnd what would be expected of a mid-high tier tablet:- The screen quality looks like it is a cheap-o-tablet. Eg: it is night and day comparing to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 from 5+ years ago.- Power and volume buttons are at SUPER ackward postions making it pretty terrible to use in portrait mode.- There's NO cover that protects the screen. This is bad at home when hanging around with the tablet, and leaving it on tables etc, and terrible when using elsewhere (eg: at a plane).- There's NO VIBRATION MOTOR! This is ABSURD, this has been a given for every single Android device, and not having it means having ZERO tactile feedback when typing, which is absolutelly horrible.- Puny 3 years of software updates and 5 years of security support. This is huge let down compared to the Pixel 8 Pro.OK, the gimmicky dock:- The power is NOT USB-C (WTH? WHY??!!!) with a cable fixed to the charger. Better be happy with the length.- Docking it won't always work, sometimes it won't charge or have sound out.- Leaving it at the dock with screen on is pretty bad for battery longevity: keeps it at 100% AND warm, both things are "no" for LiPo if you have any hopes of it lasting many years. The software is... plain Google Android, which is always stellar, there's that as a pro :-/
