Iceland GPS Map 2018 for Garmin Devices

Overall, helpful. However, at times, it would not locate known and prominent places even using the Icelandic keyboard function to find things. Garmin defect has always been that spelling has to be exact or it does not find it. Software is not flexible enough to suggest other items once you have typed it in. Was frustrating at times. Also, they number of exits it suggested at roundabouts seemed excessive and distracting. Just looked at map and saw course that needed to be steered through them to make sense of it all. The search by categories function displayed one item once you selected it rather than a list.

Received this in a very timely manner. Faster than what they said! Easy transaction! The map itself was pretty good. A lot of the places were on it that we were searching for and gave good directions.

Since this appears to be a 3rd party product, I was a bit nervous when buying. But the maps worked perfectly and served us well as we drove all over Iceland for a week. Given there are different spellings for destinations, I looked up locations at home and then saved them in the GPS unit. Easy recommendation.

Failed w/ coordinates. Addresses in an American garmin lack the icelandic letters needed for input. I had to rent a garmin from the car rental instead.

I just spent a week driving around Iceland. I logged a lot of miles and had no problems with this map. The only trouble I had is with Icelandic letters in addresses. My Garmin does not have an Icelandic character option so some addresses weren’t recognized when entered in standard English form. My work around was to find a destination nearby that didn’t have any Icelandic characters and then, when I was in the immediate neighborhood of my destination, use the map to find the exact address I needed. I looked at the “tools” field in my Garmin settings when I got home. My Garmin does have Danish and Norse language options. Maybe one of those would have worked? I don’t know. I leave it to others to try. Good product. I feel it was well worth the cost.

This worked really well for us, a good addition to our travel plan. We had also changed our mobile phone carrier to one that has unlimited data and good coverage in Iceland. Later in the trip we used that more, but this worked very well at all times and used no data, so a good option if mobile coverage is an issue.

By no error of the company, GGM Enterprises LLC, I wasn't that thrilled with the map itself. Many of the addresses in Iceland couldn't be found when entering them. I believe someone in Iceland told me it was due to how they addressed many places. Bottom line was that it didn't do us a whole lot of good once we got outside of the major city, therefore, I don't recommend spending the money. But I want to be clear that GGM Enterprises LLC did a great job responding to me and making sure I had the adapter so the card would fit into my GPS system.
