Poor quality when you put dowels in it pushes the "solid" wood off the other side leaving it damaged.Never had this problem before and pictures can be provided.We have to keep it as can't afford another but I will not buy from them again

Easy to put together, with straightforward instructions. Though it advises two people put it together, I did it alone, and this is the second of these chest of drawers I've done. When screwing in the screws, make sure the screwdriver is straight-on, and not at an angle, otherwise the screw might end up going through the wood surface. This happened twice, but I was able to re-orient the screw and put it in properly. I also found it easiest to assemble by orienting the components in the same way as illustrated in the diagrams (obvious I guess). I love the the fact chest of drawers is made of real solid pine, and smell of pine. Very nice quality, and it feels like it'll simply last for a very long time.

This arrived 2 days before expected , but it was left leaning against the front door by Hermes. I was out and it was not under cover. I was not impressed, because it could have been taken. However the item itself was well packaged. It came with easy to follow pictorial instructions and took 2 of us approximately 1 hour to build. It could be built by 1 person but it is easier with 2 to make the drawers. The joints consist of dowels and screws to create a strong overall design. Once built, it is sturdy and looks very smart. It is lovely in plain wood, but it could also easily be painted. I would recommend this.

Don’t buy these as they are Poor quality for amount paid, the majority of the holes are missing and the extremely few that there are aren’t very good, the boards for the back piece are flimsy looking and feel to them, the instructions are poor and due to the lack of holes it’s a guessing game to where you need to put the screws in, also if you do go ahead you will need an electric drill with screw bits to screw them in as doing it by hand is extremely difficult.Fair warning if you do choose to send them back they only give you £4.65 back for postage, I paid parcel force £33 to collect and deliver as I’m disabled so can’t take them to a depot or anything and I paid a little extra to insure them in case of damage or loss just in case otherwise it would of been £25.99 without it. So it’s a lot to pay to send it back I guess to put you off from a refund and sending it back. I have now bought some from IKEA in the end and had them delivered, it’s more expensive than buying these but I know the quality of there products and trust them to last. This is a lesson learned stick to those you know and know the quality of the goods, where it was pot luck on here and I paid the price for it.

When I bought this the first time, it was good so I bought another one. The second one arrived damaged. The damage does not affect functionality but the point is that I bought a brand new item, not a damaged item. The only option you get is to pack it and book a return which is fine apart from the fact that the courier that amazon use does not appear. I have been waiting for 3 business days so far.I suggested you do not buy this as it is easily damaged and returning is a major hassle.

Lack of pre drilled holes, the design to assemble is counter intuitive and the pre drilled holes it does have don't line up with the wood behind, causing it to damage the piece and make the screw hole entirely unusable. The frame when all screwed together still slants and is not stable at all.Too far in now to take it apart, so will attempt to wood glue the pieces together and hope it lasts more than a month before falling apart and being turn into firewood.

I'm very happy with this chest of drawers, looks good as is great value for money. Not the easiest to put together, my daughter had a hard time with one drawer in particular, the wood split near the runner and she thought it wouldn't hold. It has so far and a little wood glue is all that would be needed if anything goes wrong. As a whole, a good product, I can recommend this design.

I bought one of these last year for a small spare room and now I'm renovating my big bedroom and bought another. I love the simplicity of the look and the matt oak finish. Quite a few people have admired the chest and assumed i paid a lot more for it. It's relatively easy to assemble if you are familiar with flat pack. Helps if you have a battery screwdriver. Highly recommended.
