How much is your time worth?
Getting a solid 1GB/s read rate from this, and that's with a card and SSD from 2022. It's still twice as fast as my old reader and that combo. If you're dealing with huge amounts of data and a deadline, this is a no-brainer. It was fast enough that I could point Photo Mechanic directly at the card and more or less instantly see what was shot. (Although filtering by tagged photos did add a delay.)Just make sure that you've got USB 4.0 or you won't get the full benefit.

Very well built card reader with very fast connection
For those who have Thunderbolt 4 or faster port on their computer, look no further this is a great CFexpress Type B memory card reader. Have used this for over 6 months and no problem whatsoever. The unit itself is very well built and has a magnetic surface on the back to you can stick it on metal surface.

Extremely fast card reader
This CFexpress Type B card reader is blazingly fast, much faster than I expected. Unfortunately, Adobe Bridge fails to delete the images from the card even though I asked it to. Bridge also doesn't launch after reading the card. I think this is a Bridge issue. My workaround is to just run a batch file to delete the images when the download is complete. Not a big deal and the card reader is otherwise a joy to use because it is so fast.

Fast, reliable, but runs hot.
I've about half dozen CFExpress Type B card readers now. Typically download (~75,000) 24 megapixel raw files every weekend with them. This is my go to reader. Only the Angelbird PKT CFexpress 2.0 Type B Card Reader comes close to it in speed. This ProGrade is just a bit faster and I've had stability issues with the Angelbird reader. The only down side for me is it runs hot. Even if you aren't actively reading/writing to a card, if you have a card in this and leave it connected it gets so warm it's uncomfortable to hold or touch. Happens if connected to laptops and PC, plugged into Firewire and USB ports, and with SanDisk and AngelBird cards.Still this is my go to card reader. Have been considering buying a second. Can never have too many backups of critical business tools.

Tested with so many readers and this is the best for now.

Best card reader for CFExpress cards
This has the best R/W speeds. It’s expensive but worth the money if you have the fast CFExpress cards.
