As lens caps go, it does not attach to the lens as easily as my OEM SONY lens cap. Part of the reason is that the string gets in the way as there is no groove for the string near the attachment hole. I bought this one to have the string attachment to prevent accidentally dropping or losing the cap while taking pictures with SONY RX10-4. The supplied string is intended to be used doubled up in a loop at half of full length of the string. This will NOT work with the RX10. You will have to fasten it in the single string mode using a half-hitch type knot at either end. It's too bad the manufacturer did not supply a longer string appropriate for a super zoom camera. Once attached with an appropriate knot, the cap works well. Plus, you get 2 caps just in case you somehow manage to lose one.

So I caps are perfect, but the string is not already attached to the cap, and it seems to be just that, a literal string. I expected it to be some type of elastic. The cap does have a little hole to attach it on to, but you have to figure out where on your lens to the it to.I attached one and I have to photograph a wedding today, so I hope it works and is not a nuisance getting caught between the cap and the camera, we’ll see.

The lens cap itself appears to be good quality but the lease cord was a tad short for my use and I was expecting it to be elastic on the end to go around my lens barrel. After looking again it is as shown I just ordered the wrong one. Will make do I had already opened one of the packages so can't return. My bad.

I thought this was a normal lens cap with an elastic piece that fits on the lens - it has some sort of string - don't waste your money. I guess cheaper is not better when it comes to lens caps.

It was a good buy. There is a solid attachment to the lens and the string attached is more than adequate. You can pay $17 for an official Olympus lens cap and this does not include the string. This is functionally better making it a much superior buy!

I bought these for one of my Lensbabies. The Lensbaby cap kept falling off. These lens caps are much better. They have the pinch thing in the middle to lock them on, similar to Nikon lens caps.

Just received my lens caps for my Nikon D50 55mm cap...and they don't quite fit. If you pinch the cap on, it puts back off. Not a tight fit at all.
