Easy to install and works great.
I initially bought some weather stripping from a local hardware store, but after only a few days, it started to jam the door. It was from Frost King and the seal part was not very flexible at all, which made it difficult to install and create a good seal. It also started to stick to the paint on the door which caused the seal to partially rip out making it impossible to close the door again. So I ripped it all out and decided to look at Amazon for a better design. This product was exactly what I was looking for. The seal is very flexible and is able to compress quite a bit so the installation was a breeze because you didn't have to get it exactly at the right location relative to the door. The seal's outer sheath seems to be made from teflon which prevents it from sticking to the door's paint. The extruded aluminum railing is substantially stiffer than the other product I picked up at the local hardware store. The only negative was that it was slightly bent during shipping since it's so long. It wasn't a big deal since I was able to bend it back enough. It took about 45 minutes to install. Measure, cut rail with hacksaw, debur ends with a metal file, cut seal with scissors, and install using the included screws. My advice is to stay away from the Frost King weather stripping and get this instead.

The best weather stripping I've ever purchased.
Someone once erroneously pointed out that most of my reviews are 5 stars. Well, there's a reason for that. I usually don't write up a review unless it's really great or truly bad. This product, however, is one I am really excited about. I saw some creases between my door jamb and the door and after some research, I bought this product because of all the rave reviews.I am totally satisfied with it.Pros:1. Easy to installWell, the hardest part was cutting the metal(aluminum) to fit the door. I had to go to Lowes to find the right tool for it because none of my ordinary tools would suffice. Lowes was great enough to cut it for me for free. After that, all I had to do was close the door and slightly push the weather stripping against the door and screw them in to the jamb.2. EffectiveNow, the immediate area has become much warmer thanks to the lack of cold air coming in. I can really feel the difference. It also looks great!Con:There's really none that I can think of ... oh... getting it cut, perhaps? You won't regret the purchase. I'm just glad I got it done before the cold winter settled in.

M-D Building Products 87783 Compression Weather Stripping with Aluminum
The weather stripping worked great, as promised. easy to install, all the hardware came with it. Better then any Lowes or Home Depot product. the reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it arrived bent. It comes in 2 piece 8foot sections. Which is hard to ship. For the price it should be packaged better. I straightened it , so it worked out. I live in area which gets snow and have always had a problem with that outside door. best fit, best seal to date.

Best option from what I've used
Great product! I used these on my front and back doors, both of which access directly to the elements. The door frames on the house have warped a bit since it was built in 1996. I tried 3 other types of weather stripping. One was a similar design, compressing bulb seal type, bought at Lowe's/Home Depot. The quality of these was poor. They did not compress well, and the rubber stripping came out of the track within days of installation. The second was the foam impregnated vinyl, also compressible, and fit into the kerf cut of the door jamb. The warping of the door frames did not allow a good seal with this type. I also tried the magnetic seal type, since my doors were metal. Again, the warped frames did not allow for a good seal. These were fantastic compared to what I had tried -- they overcame the warped frame and are compressible, allowing for a tight seal, cutting down on drafts. I highly recommend this type of seal, especially if you have similar larger gaps/warping door frames due to age of home.

Works when weather stripping doesn’t!
I bought this because my doors were slightly warped and I could never get a seal with any other weather stripping. This is easy to install and works perfectly, just don’t put too much pressure when installing you just want it touching the door so it doesn’t affect the locking mechanism. Would highly recommend for old houses or doors!

Infinitely better than hardware store weather stripping
This stuff is the answer to all the inferior hardware store products that just aren't compressible enough to work properly. It might be almost twice as expensive, but since it actually works the added cost is pretty much irrelevant. Most of the generic weather stripping available comes with a harder rubber that doesn't compress nearly enough to seal gaps in a door with even a tiny bit of warping and ends up doing absolutely nothing aside from simply making the door hard to close. The M-D compression stripping is similar to what I've seen installed on new doors: curved foam with a vinyl covering that's softer offers a much larger effective compression range. This makes it much easier to install on warped doors as it doesn't have to be screwed in place to the exact millimeter in order to make sure the door closes normally. Also, since it bulges sideways onto the door as it compresses, it offers a much better seal than other products. I can't speak to durability yet, but so far I'm convinced that this is the stuff to get if your door doesn't have built-in channels for the other style of weather stripping.

Lacking in screws and packaging
When arrived the box was bent in 2 places as was the product. If that wasn't enough, the product came with no screws to mount with. I gave it 2 stars because it looks like after flattening out the product and buying screw out of pocket, that the product should work.
