Tentative initial rating
Having just had this delivered, this is an initial finding on opening the pack. I bought this, having had several hydration bladders over the last ten years or so and had given up with them, due to them leaking at the hose joints on re-use, if not used for some time. The handle at the large screw filler cap makes it easy to hold to fill the bag and the large end opening makes it quick to empty and easy to clean and air the bladder after use.I must admit I was sceptical about the claim for joining the tube to the bag, but an initial test of joining the drinking tube and separating it, with the bladder full of water - it works and no evidence of leakage! The valve on the drinking tube is simple to use and gives a good water flow. Personally, I also like the insulated tube.I bought this with the cleaning kit, which appears excellent value and should make giving the bladder a thorough clean, easy.I also teamed it with the One Tigris hydration tube clips, which again, initially appear to be well made, easy to fit and hold the tube well - even the insulated tube.First proper test will be at the weekend on a good hike around the SW Coastal path, but envisage lots of use, hiking and cycling.

Stay Hydrated!
I bought this for a hike I did with my buddies in the Brecon Beacons; as someone who can often go half the day forgetting to have a drink, I wanted to stay properly hydrated on our hike, but not have to fumble around with a water bottle every time. This fits into a pocket built into my rucksack and the end of the hose attaches to the shoulder strap. It's so easy to just grab the hose and suck the water out whenever you're feeling thirsty, and the three litre capacity lasted me the day. My friends thought it was a bit over the top, but they either ran out of water in their small bottles, or had unwieldy bottles hanging off their back packs. The only downside compared to a bottle is that you don't know how much water is left since the bladder is concealed inside your bag.

Performed well in tough conditions.
There are a lot of good features to this bladder that make it different to the older style. The ability to unclip the water pipe without losing the bladder contents and further ability to clean inside via the roll top opening makes it very user-friendly. The flow-rate at the bite valve is also good. Based on my trials with one of these bladders I've bought 2 more for use on an upcoming desert trip. I'll update this review as needed after that extensive trial.November update. The 3 bladders were used extensively on our W-E crossing of Australia on motoX bikes. Given the dry, desert conditions we did find that the on/off valve at the mouthpiece became a bit stiff, but overall the bladder performed well and was very strong. Numerous falls from the bike in the deep sand would have been cushioned by the water bladder on our backs [as well as extensive bike armour] and none of the bladders split. When I returned to the UK I contacted GoFriend with our concerns about the stiff on/off valves and they replaced our complete units with no fuss and a quick turnaround. Very impressive.

Good product
Have used it a few times now including on a multi day hike. I’m very pleased with it as it is easy to use, fill and clean. Before I had a big well known brand and that kept breaking down and leaking. The only thing that I don’t like (which applies to all water bladders) is that I can never tell when it’s almost empty.

Took this up Kilimanjaro!
Took this up Kilimanjaro as a much cheaper alternative to Camelbaks and the like. Didn't leak. Was able to go in a backpack that didn't even have a special compartment or openings for water bladders and it was sturdy enough not to get punctured rattling around. Tasted a little plasticky to being with but wears off after being washed out. The mouth piece cover is a nice touch. You have to pull the mouth piece out to unlock the system (something which took me while to figure out). Doesn't leak and easy to dismantle the tube from the bag for storage or travel! I have used it with fairly hot lukewarm water to stop the water freezing, the water still froze but the Hydration Bladder held up to the heat ok! The sliding clasp at the top is also handy if you want to empty it quickly for washing or travel.Would definitely recommend

Not suitable for my osprey kyte 66, but good quality water bladder
This is a really good quality water bladder. Unfortunately I am unable to use it as it isn't compatible with my osprey rucksack. Osprey rucksacks water bladder goes in outside the pack by your back. This water bottle has a large circular opening making it the wrong shape for my rucksack. Apart from this if you place your bladder inside your pack it would be very good. Good quality materials. We'll made. I couldn't work out the end to get the water out though.

Great product. Surpassed expectations
Great water bladder! I bought this on the strength of the other reviews and the product has exceeded my expectations!I had previously avoided using a water bladder when walking due to worries of leakage or bursting but the quality of this has satisfied my worries. Very well made and robust.A lot of bladders seem to be 2L but the extra litre in this one is perfect for the bigger days in the mountains. The quick release feature on the tube is a nice touch, it means you can take the bladder out of your bag to refill without having to remove the tube. The mouthpiece works well and does not leak.My only criticism is that the tube is prone to kinking if it goes round too tight a bend. Perhaps you should sell the tubes separately so we can replace these when they become badly kinked?

Excellently designed bladder by somebody who has actually used one
This is a excellent bladder. It has obviously been designed by somebody who has used other bladders and wanted to created something without their flaws.a. The top removes so that you have more space to clean out those nooks and crannies where mould can develop unlike others where you can to clean through the filling hole.b. Snap on hose. No fighting with a friction fit with wet handsc. The port for the hose has a one way value so that you can fill the bladder with out the hose attached and there is no leakage. It's also well constructed and the top bar is reasonably generic so it should fix many different bag fasteners. I can not recommend this bladder highly enough!
