No more disconnections
I owned a tplink and netgear adapter, both bought almost a decade ago. They worked mostly fine, but would randomly disconnect a few times a day, annoying if playing online games. or working from home. This latest adapter, though expensive, has provided a perfect connection and does not disconnect at all.

Does the job, but no CD!!
I previously had the A6210 - an earlier version - and it had served me well for 5+ years with no dropped connections for me unlike several other reviews I have seen……….Only had it a few days but it has worked perfectly like it’s predecessor for me, I’m very happy with its performance…….It works slightly better for me when plugged directly into a USB port on my PC as opposed to using the cradle supplied……..BUT, the product shipped with NO CD software disk!!! For non tech savvy people this would make installation a real pain…..I went to the Netgear download centrer using my IPAD and got the software, then transferred it to my PC using ITunes file sharing, and then it installed as required……But what if you didn’t have another device to go to download the required drivers from?? Or didn’t have access to the internet (which for many people would be the reason why you were getting the adapter in the first place!!).OVERALL: PRo - Performance is excellent CON - Installation is made needlessly harder via no CD being supplied, the supplier needs to do better here (Many modern devices don’t have CD drives, so just be upfront and forget about CDs and modify your instructions or whatever to facility easier installation via other means).

Worth it for me.
I had my ethernet cable running down the stairs to the router. I (the wife) got fed up of the mess so I did some research on the best wireless adapter and this kept coming up in the top 10. There are some really expensive ones and this was the most reasonable for performance. I was a little nervous though due to the ÂŁ80 price tag but went for it.On arrival, (took 2 days), I followed the installation instructions, instead of my usual 'I know what I'm doing'. I have no CD drive so went to the net gear support website to download the driver software. I usually just get the drivers for this kind of install, instead of the full bundle software utility. This time I played safe, due to some of the reviews of difficulties with it on windows 10, and installed the full package. (It's not really needed as it's just basically a network selection utility and performance monitor but it's fairly light).I plugged in the adapter into the magnetic base and into the USB 3 port on my PC and BOOM! there it was. Connected to my WiFi and BOOM! Speeds just as fast as the ethernet. I'm only on a 200mbps connection from my provider, (so can't vouch for the advertised max speed of it) and this adapter is giving me a WiFi connection of 217mbps. My PC is upstairs and in the room above the router, so it's not really testing it I guess.Been running for 2 weeks with no issues at all, no drops in speed, no disconections. It is a big adapter but not as big as some. I guess if you want to pick up strong signals you need a big reciever. The magnetic base is great too, my desk has metal vertical plates on the side and it sticks there no problem. All out of sight. Hasn't moved and the adapter hasn't fallen out of the base, it's got a good solid USB connector on it.Will update if I notice any issues but I don't think I will.

Great Product!
I had an older WiFi adapter for my PC and was seeing intermittent connection issues that were causing me a lot of frustration.I got this adapter in the hope that it would improve my connection to the router in the room next door. After replacing the old adapter with this, my download speeds have doubled and the connection issues no longer occur. It's a godsend for always online games that disconnect you once your WiFi connection drops. I've seen an improvement in my latency in online games as well.Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase!

Awful product, no customer service support
Worked ok for three weeks then it stopped picking up the WiFi connection. Tried to contact customer service, the phone number is invalid. Tried to raise a report online but you have to create an account with netgear, created an account….wouldn’t let me log in to raise a report. Utter rubbish. Don’t bother.

Very large wifi adapter
The adapter works fine enough, getting speeds of 200-250Mbps (it's only wifi5), but it's very large. Didn't check the physical specs before buying, but didnt expect such a difference to my old USB dongle (pictured for comparison). The magnetic stand is at least useful for attaching this monstrosity to a computer case.
