I needed a great cleanse before entering into the holiday season. This sorted me out in a good way. It's weird that once you know what balance feels like you can kind of see if others are not so balanced.

Tudca Liver Plus by HMS Nutrition is something to consider if you want to support your liver's detox pathways. Tudca is a very interesting supplment on its own and it is not widely known. Its accompanied by methyl-B12, folate (or folic acid? which is it?), milk thistle seed, and cruciferous vegetable extracts. The only thing that irks me about this supplement is the folate or folic acid; which one is it? Because they are two different things, one is the bioactive form (folate aka methyltetrahydrofolate) and the other is the synthetic form (folic acid). If it is folic acid that has been used, it not ideal because about half of the poplulation do not have sufficient levels of dihydrofolate reductase which is the enzyme that supports folic acids conversion to the bioactive form. It makes me question the veracity of the ingredients when the label has conflicting info listed ingredients. Other than that, this is a great idea for a supplement and I will be using this supplement for instances when I want to support my detox pathways.

This supplement contains multiple ingredients known to help support liver function. I also like how it contains some cruciferous vegetables as well, so I feel like this one supplement has a lot of benefits. This one bottle has a 30 day supply, and seems reasonable for the price. You likely won't see/have any changes with just the first bottle, though, and would need to continue this supplement indefinitely.The bottle comes sealed, so I feel confident that it was untampered with. The capsules seem on the larger size for me, but still easy enough to swallow one at a time. I did think there was a faint unpleasant taste if I didn't swallow it fast enough, almost bitter vegetable flavor, likely from the cruciferous vegetables inside. But it's not a deal breaker.

These are pretty standard sized supplements that are easy to swallow with no terrible after-taste. The price is what you would expect for supplements and the ingredients appear to be pretty clean without including a bunch of man-made chemicals. As far as support liver function/detoxifying, the only way to tell is by using these for a long period of time and comparing before/after blood work. As for now, I am giving 4 stars based on the fact that I am not having any adverse reaction to these.

Liver health is very important because the liver serves many functions for overall health wellness. So, I try to give my hubby supplements to help his liver with its processes. Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, which is the ingredient in this product, is also known to be a huge benefit for other health issues and serve as a preventative. I also like that it is non GMO, gluten free, soy free and dairy free. So far it appears to be providing good results.

Tastes and smells awful. No adverse reaction(s) to taking this but also can't tell that it's doing anything. Most likely, only lab work will show results.

I've been taking these capsules for a few weeks now, and I'm hopeful that I'll see some positive results. They have many claimed benefits, and so far I haven't experienced any negative reactions.
