Why did I order this? It's a piece of junk. When it was on sale, it had 4.5 star reviews. I imagine most of them were fake. Now all the REAL reviews are coming in. The instructions are poor and it's damn near impossible to set up. You have to hold down one of two buttons in different sequences and look for certain lights to flash a certain amount of times. Then, apparently, this indicates which mode you have it set in. Except it doesn't. I followed the instructions to a "T" to set up motion activated recording, and it refuses to work.For the love of God, do not buy this.The icing on the cake is the camera gets incredibly hot when plugged in. Seems like a fire hazard waiting to happen.

This camera accepted the charge when I first unboxed it. It acted like it was working, but did not write on the card the first time I attempted to use it. When I put the card back into the camera after testing it the first time, it flashed and turned itself off, indicating that the card wasn’t accepted. I tried to turn it on again, but it wouldn’t turn on. I charged it again, and both lights (red and blue) lit up. When I took it off the charge, both lights remained on for about 10 minutes, even though I attempted to turn it off. When it did turn itself off, I inserted the memory card and turned the camera on. It didn’t accept the card and turned itself off. I readjusted the card, but now the camera won’t turn on again.*** The next day... The jury is still out on this camera. So far it has recorded 2 5-minute videos, but only when plugged into my computer. However, after almost giving up, I tried again and it seems to be working now. It has accepted the memory card all of a sudden, so I'm not sure whether it will work or not in the long run. Still testing to determine.

There are multiple ways things claimed by shipper of this product that are untrue. Does NOT have magnet. Does NOT have 8 IR lights (has 6). Because of this I can’t ryle out that this is NOT the 2018 version. Moreover, though, the camera itself is not detecting motion. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT THIS. If you are looking for a camera to ensure your house/store etc is safe, look elsewhere friends. Buyer beware.

Not sure how this product got its 5 star reviews, first of all of color of the video is really off. Blue looks purple and purple looks red in the recorded videos. The battery does not last more than 20 minutes in 720p and the camera does not record continuous videos for more than 6 minutes. Maybe I received an used or defected unit but the comparison to GoPro is laughable.

Like others, cannot recommend this product.Cons:1. Charging says flashing red led, turning to solid red. Mine stays on solid blue all the time and I had to set a timer for 3 hours2. Battery life claimed is 30-100 mins. I got 15 mins. for video and 8 mins. for motion detection3. Infrared led night vision never worked, even after I reset the camera4. Any movement gives blurry video and for best video camera needs to be stationary5. Video is washed out and colors are off indoors6. Motion detection is hit and miss, sometimes it stops and will not recognize movement in front of cameraPros:1. Manual is in English, easy to read, but with errors2. Video is OK outdoors with no camera movement and audio is good and clear with no static3. Kingston 32GB micro sd card formatted to fat32 worked fine4. Camera connected to PC, was detected by Windows 8 for charging and viewing video footageTests and results:I performed several tests and for some unknown reason the battery died after 8 mins. using motion detection. Taking video, the battery only lasted 15 mins. To check if battery is depleted, press the power button for 3 secs. If no led light or if it's flashing red in motion detection, then battery has died. Like others have found out, do not buy this camera, it's a waste of money.

Okay, I have had this thing for SIX weeks now, and I still cannot figure out how to operate it. The "manual" is ridiculously incomprehensible. I may get lucky and somehow stumble across how to work this thing, but if I do, it would be purely by accident and then I would not know or remember how it fortuitously occurred. It would be great if this thing worked as advertised...but it apparently does not.

It was very hard to figure out how to turn on/off the camera. No light indication, no software to hook up and while it's plugged via USB I thought you would be able to see the files on the PC, no luck. If I can't tell if the camera is turned on, and can't read the SD card of the camera, what good is it? I tried to remove the SD card but it never had any files on it.

DO not waste your time buying this camera, i bought two, its defective, does not work at all.
