My family loves crawfish but Covid-19 has made it impossible to dine out at our favorite Crawfish restaurant- The Boiling Crab. I wanted to experiment with making my own crawfish feast at home and researched various heavy duty plastic bags like the ones used at the restaurant. These bags were more expensive than I anticipated and since I wasn't sure exactly what is used at the restaurants, I was worried about making an expensive and wasteful mistake.Enter these oven cooking Turkey bags! I'd never even heard of oven cooking bags prior to this but I figured, A) large enough to fit a turkey? definitely large enough for several pounds of crawfish boil and B) oven safe? definitely going to be able to withstand the heat from my crawfish. These bags exceeded my expectations - I bought the largest size available, 17 x 21.5 Inch and bought the 5 pack of 20 bags for 10.99, so .55 per bag pre tax. They're thinner than I expected but strong. They are large enough that I could easily fill each bag with 4 pounds + of crawfish boil goodness and sauce, tie the top and mix the sauce so that it coated every piece. One of our bags did leak due to being punctured by a large crawfish claw so be mindful of that if you are using these bags for crustaceans like crab and crawfish rather than turkeys. Also, I do wish they were offered in larger quantities - each package comes with 4 bags but they are sold in sets of 1-5 packages so larger quantities would mean less packaging and waste.

I used these for turkeys and large cuts of beef. I found they work well but when removing the item from the pan one just BURST even though it was not that full and I had let it cool for quite a while. I had removed it from the pan and was going to put it into the sink before removing the meat and then saving the drippings for gravy.Luckily it burst (mostly )into the sink, but it did cost me the gravy makings I was hoping to recover!

These are supposed to be universal vs the turkey bags I am used to using. The shape is different as well as the consistency of the plastic. The plastic is more brittle once it is pulled from the oven. Certainly works well for cooking as it speeds up the time it takes to get the meat done.

We used these bags for a seafood boil. They were perfect in size however very thin. Each bag had 1 1/2 clusters of snow crab legs, 10 shrimp, sausage etc. I had to double the bags 2 per person. I attempted to use them again for a Turkey. DON’T. They are too thin. It tore trying to inset an 18lb Turkey inside. Had to run and get Reynolds cooking bag.

I’ve never used these to cook with ... I use them to store cannabis....(licensed to grow) works wonders and can store a half lbs easily per bag !!!

I'm sorry about that we received it just it was on the porch my family didnot see it and told me other wise sorry once again.

Alot of bag for the price... and strong I'm happy camper.... sea food boil place it in the bag with the sauce mix and eat... microwave able... to re heat for the next day!!!!!

Been trying to get larger bags in shops but no good. Really good value idea for larger joints

Very large roasting bags were unavailable in the shops before Christmas. I always use roasting bags, particularly for large joints of meat. These were big enough for a large turkey and worked really well. For some reason we had the tastiest Christmas lunch for many a year. I have enough of these now to last for a while and supplied friends as well.
