Much smaller than I originally expected. We have had it running in our basement for a week now and it has collected over a gallon of water! To be honest, I wasn't expecting much when I unboxed this dehumidifier. It's much smaller than I was anticipating, and for the price I figured I would give it a try in our extremely damp basement anyway. Let me tell you, I was wrong to assume that because it was small it wouldn't be mighty. This little machine is wonderful! Our basement is drying out for the first time, ever. Half of our 100+ year old basement has packed dirt floor. With the amount of rain our area has seen recently our basement became mildew heaven overnight. We knew we needed to do something to remedy it, without a huge budget. This little mighty might has answered our prayers, without breaking the budget. I have shown it off to everyone who will listen! I cannot explain how happy we are with this dehumidifier. We would buy it again and again, if we ever need another, for any reason, we will be buying this exact machine again!!

I went with this one, despite the significant increase in cost over similar models, because of the ratings. It is smaller than I expected (not a bad thing). Pay attention to the size of the room you intend to use it in. I discovered right away that if the room is at the upper limit of what it can handle (269 sq ft) it can take a little while to see the results you want (like, a couple of days). Once it gets going, it just chugs away though. It is very, very quiet, and remains cool to the touch. I have had it run for 3-4 days nonstop, and not felt any heat coming off of it anywhere.Make sure the vents to the room are open, or there is airflow to the area. It will take a long time in a larger room to get the results you want otherwise (but almost no time if there is airflow). I made that mistake initially, and thought the unit just not very strong. That was NOT the case - I had the room too closed up.I'm happy with it, and will be keeping it after initially wondering if I'd bought enough power. Full disclosure - I was offered a 1 year extended warranty to write an impartial review, which I have done. Once I set things up for it work best, it really does a fine job. Materials and aesthetics are high quality, and it couldn't be easier to use.

Compact unit. Very small.

Used to dehumidify the cabin of my boat. Worked great the first year now it stopped working, makes a grinding screeching noise when powered on and Im scared it could cause a fire while unattended.

This is the first dehumidifier I’ve ever owned. The reason I bought it because we used to have mole problem. I want to get some moist out of the air. I pluged in the dehumidifier for about a day. I noticed the water accumulated about a inch and half high in the container. It is pretty amazing. In addition noise is pretty low. Only wish that it could have its own battery and doesn’t need to keep plugging on the power supply while using it.

We live in an old house and the main bathroom does not have a fan of any kind and with all the hot showers in this house, I was constantly cleaning up mold/mildew on the ceiling and shower curtains. I bought this in hopes of preventing the mold from occurring in the first place. It has been working like a charm! We turn it on when we get in and leave it running in the closed room until the mirrors clear, which is usually within 5 min. - a big improvement! I'm very pleased with at this point with my purchase. It's certainly cheaper than installing a fan!

I returned it - it is very small. Okay for a closet or very small room.
