Yes it is good. everyone asks the same question. I will answer .... it records 2 tracks at a time
So this thing is a great bargain, it is solid, the sliders are smooth and scratch free, the rotary encoders are smooth and crisp, sound is amazing. You can record but unfortunately unlike many of the answers where people say " you can break it into separate tracks" what they should have been saying is you can break it into tracks 1 and 2 for mono or a single stereo track. I thought this would be like a few other mixers I used where it broke each channel out for recording so I could run both my DJ setups into this with my ableton but tbh my DDJ1000 has more output and inputs electronically speaking so if you are buying this for an advanced interface like I was do not... however if you are buying it for eqing and sound shaping along with some actually supringly good on board effects then this is money well spent. I have a TON of gear and while this isn't what I was looking for when I bought it, it impressed me enough that even though it doesn't do what I was looking for, I still decided to keep it so that should tell you something about the sound quality. Hope that helps.

PYLE 8-Channel Mixer—The DJ Upgrade I Didn’t Know I Needed!
Okay, I’ll admit it—I’m no pro DJ yet, but when my first mixer started holding me back, I knew it was time to level up. Enter the PYLE 8-Channel Bluetooth Studio Audio Mixer—and WOW, what a game changer! For someone still learning the ropes, this mixer has been like strapping a turbo engine onto my DJ setup. Need more inputs? Done. Bluetooth? Oh yeah! USB recording? Check! It’s like this mixer knew what I needed before I did!The 48V phantom power for mics and the multiple channels let me experiment and get creative without feeling like I’m trapped in a DJ beginner’s box. And the Bluetooth connectivity? It works flawlessly connected to my 16-inch MBP. (More and more DJ's are using BT, I'm told) I personally don't mind it now.If you’re like me—relatively new to DJing but ready to broaden your horizons—this mixer is the ticket. It’s got all the pro-level features without feeling overwhelming. You’ll be rocking the decks in no time!

Great mixer for the price, Great features
I am pleasantly surprised with the usefulness, function and features of this mixer. I have used mixers professionally in live television production for many years and this mixer has many of the features that I like on those mixers. I have used the bluetooth and the USB features on this mixer. Both worked well. Perfectly? well a few minor drop-outs occasionally, but it has always recovered quickly on it's own, overall very usable and I enjoy listening to music via bluetooth. The USB acts like an audio source device when connected to your PC. The USB MP3 player also works well. I like that this mixer has an AUX channel for Mix-Minus, PFL for each channel, separate volume sliders for FX, MP3 and Sub Out. The manual doesn't even show the Sub Out, but I'm glad it's there, it's already been very useful. Having two Main Out sliders is also a nice touch that most professional mixers have and can come in very handy. It even has the tilt on the controls I'm used to. Overall, for the price this is a great little mixer with some very useful features. I would recommend this mixer to anyone looking for an inexpensive yet feature packed mixer.

We're currently using this for an impromptu mixer in our church.
Our church burned down in the Caldor Fire, and we needed a quick replacement for our transitional building. I bought this board with my own money thinking we could use it until the church could afford a better one. I thought in error. This board is great which has led us to use it long-term. There are pros and cons, but the pros vastly outweigh the cons.ConsThere are a few quirky issues, but they are minor and don't affect the use of the board. Sometimes the USB interface doesn't always connect the way it should, but pulling it out and reinserting it works every time. One of the potentiometers was bent transporting the board even though we dealt with it very carefully. I'm guessing the materials of the post aren't the best. I bent it back, and it still works well. The other quirky feature is recording out only allows a single stereo track with no multitrack available. In other words, you won't be able to mix tracks coming out of the board into your computer. We don't use this option, so for us this is no problem. If you want to mix tracks, it will be.ProsThe sound quality is good. The build quality is solid although a bit clunky. Despite the quirks with the USB, it works very well connected to our temporary computer system. We've played from the computer and recorded to the computer, and we've never had a single problem. Despite the bent potentiometer, all sliders seem to function and are much smoother than I expected at this price point. All normal options are there including mute and audition buttons. There are plenty of channels for the multi-mic setup we use. We've never had to use the Bluetooth option, but that is a nice feature as well if necessary.Overall, I highly recommend this board for a quick and simple setup, especially for public events that require a PA system. There's no beating the quality and flexibility at this price point.
