Great watch!
I had another analog/digital G-Shock (GA-700) that I wasn't that happy with. It was hard to read the digital display - so called light digits on a black background. The reverse is much easier to read. This watch also has light digits on a black background, and although smaller, they seem easier to read. Perhaps the contrast is greater. I very much like its solar charging and it automatic syncronizing with the government time station (WWV) in Fort Collins, CO. It is also smaller and less obtrusive and in my opinion, more attractive than the aforementioned G-Shock. In the ratings below, I only gave it four stars because the digital time can sometimes be hard to read in less than bright light. Another thing it has over the GA-700 is the analog hands glow in the dark. In conclusion, I think for the price this is a fantastic watch.

I’m a big fan of g shock!
This is a beautiful watch, and everything on it works great. My only complaint is the light doesn’t light up the background dials, but does a nice job of lighting up the hands. So you can tell the time in the dark, but not the date, etc. This watch has some great features. It sets itself, even changes for daylight savings time. The battery is solar charged, any light will charge it. You can temporarily move the hands away from covering the background dials, and also set the light to stay on 3 seconds instead of 1.5 seconds. My last g shock watch still works perfectly after about eight years, and I did test it. I wore it on the job as a firefighter, worn in many house fires, then aggressive washing. I’ve also worn it scuba diving. Worn every day for 8 years and never had to set the time as it received a radio signal to set itself. The battery is also still good. I hope this new watch does as well! I’m a big fan of g shock! Lots of bang for your buck!

Cool Little G Shock
Not to big, not to small. Fits and wears well on my average size rise. The blue bezel and blue overtones give it a sleek appearance. It has a negative display which can be a little hard to read, but once you get used to it and catch the angle under the right light, it’s pretty cool. Give the watch a stealthy personality. Has all the basic functions you get with any G Shock. Stop Watch, Timer, Alarms, Signal plus it’s Tough Solar & Multi Band 6. It’s ani-digital of course and I get nice comments from friends when wearing. It’s a nice watch and I’m pleased with it.

Absolutely awesome watch.
I've had it for several months and I still love it. I work in a dirty, airborne metal, welding environment. I do not have one scratch on the glass yet. I'm impressed. This watch is a keeper, it will last longer than I will. It is more beautiful than anything you will see on this site. In particular lights and angles the face flashes rainbow honeycombs.Yes, the negative LCDs are not legible in medium to low light. This is a feature, not a problem to me. I don't want random strangers stealing valuable time reporting about data without my permission. "What day is it?" "Hey, mind your own business, pal. Get your own info." Pssssh, freeloaders. It's a gorgeous watch and way tougher than I expected.

Very attractive looking, decent value. But the negative display holds it back, big time...
Ah, Casio. A company that has quickly become my favorite watch brand because of how much they manage to pack in their watches at such a good value. This watch is no different, packing in an enormous number of features for under $100: radio time sync, solar power, analog-digital combination face (where the times are actually synced, unlike many other offerings), 200m water resistance, and shock resistance; along with the standard world time (48 cities, 31 zones), stopwatch (59'59.99" capacity before looping), countdown timer (0'01" - 100'00" capacity), and alarm (5 alarms, hourly chime) functions. However, there is one major flaw holding this back, and that is unfortunately the negative display which, while incredibly nice to look at, is nigh unreadable. While it has a nice stealthy look, the negative LCD is going to divide opinions and may just make or break the watch for you.-----Pros:- Design - Not as blue as in the photo, however the blue ring combined with the dark solar cell face gives it a very nice look. Not to mention the subtle blue accents around the indices and the markers, and the slight sunburst effect on the dial.- Not as loud and ostentatious as other G Shocks - This is what held me back from G Shocks at first. Sure they're amazing, but for the most part they tend to be too big, and most have to advertise every single feature on the face. This one is on the smaller side, and has a much cleaner face.- Pretty good bang for your buck- Nice texture and comfortable band - The resin shell and casing have a nice, slightly rubbery texture to them, and feel like the watch can definitely take a heavy beating and survive.Cons:- No second hand - Not a big deal, but would've been nice...- A tad bulky - But it's a G Shock. Easily forgiven.- Proprietary/Oddly shaped straps - Wouldn't be a Casio without non-standard lugs! But I think there is an adapter mod out there...- Negative display - The biggest flaw. Looks extremely attractive and gives the watch face a nice stealthy look, but the small size of the LCD combined with the difficulty of being able to see unless in direct light at the perfect angle ended up making the displays nearly impossible to read. I wanted to love it, I wanted to try dealing with it, but infortunately, this is the one major thing holding the watch back. There is a similar model with a positive LCD, however it is much more expensive and can only be imported.Other:- Came with the regular plastic stand. Sadly no fancy G Shock tin for me :(- Box was slightly damaged on arrival

Great overall watch.
Was looking for a G-Shock that wasn't so massive and this one is a perfect size for people with small to medium-sized wrists. Solar/Multi-band 6/100M water resistance. This is a great watch for every day use. The only downside is that the negative display can be tough to read in low light conditions and the backlight isn't very bright, but it's does have lume applied on the hands and hour markers so that's good. The movement has some cool features too, like world time and it will move the hands if they are blocking the sub-dials, all-round great watch.

Nice watch
For the money you are getting a ton of watch.. Solar and radio without the watch is worth the price. If you've never owned this combination, I highly suggest it. The watch is esthetically eye catching and the colors are nicer than the picture in person. Reccomend if you are looking to add to collection or first Gshock purchase.

Buen reloj
