Iron Mermaid Doorknocker in Verdigris Finish

This knocker is nice and heavy duty. It does not come with screws, but it didn't state that it did. It has been hung, and looks exactly like I hoped it would. Was packed nice and arrived quickly.

Received well ahead of schedule. Overall product okay. However, pivot pin that holds front to backplate is too loose allowing too much play. Must be hung perfectly verticle or the face misses the perch. The pin is pressed in but I question how long it will last.

Absolutely useless for its named purpose....The Good: It is solid metal, inexpensive, and looks just like the photo.The Bad: It simply doesn't work. There are 2 holes for screws in the back plate- one in the bottom and one in the middle. The mermaid is hinged in such a way that you cannot open it enough to access the middle screw hole. This makes it impossible to mount. The second problem is the side to side play. The base of the mermaid has a raised bump that is meant to hit a raised bump on the back plate. The mermaid is attached so loosely at the top that the bumps don't consistently line up, making it feel very sloppy. Ive attached photos to illustrate the problems. I returned it.

It was cute, but arrived broken. It had very little packing material in the box. Maybe that was the issue.

i dont know why i thought this would be bigger, but either way its cute. its small and seems very cheap but its still the cutest thing to go on my fla themed porch. also, the knocker doesnt line up with base plate but noone else is onna notice

I liked this doorknocker very much and it was well worth what I paid for it. The color and detail are beautiful!

The mermaid, was perfect! Just what we wanted and had been searching for and at such a reasonable price. We're thrilled with it. She looks brilliant on our front door.

Nice knocker. Does the job. Bangs in the beach house casa in style. Good quality. Exactly like the description says.
