The famous oil used for restoration of wood's life
This is not mainly for adding luster to wood. More than that, it regains the life of wood to be useful for a long time. We praise rosewood and teak wood because they are strong and cannot be destroyed by white-ants. This glory is because they have their native wood oil withstanding the destructive work of these white-ants. I took a 57 years old bench for restoration. First removed the dirt and aged varnish on it with sand paper and applied this oil on it and let it dry for 24 hours (as in practice). The teak wood absorbed the oil readily and the original color regained. Linseed oil is the best for strengthening dry wood. If you have a carved idol or a sentimental furniture this will give life to it. After applying this oil we may prefer to use bee-wax added wax polish, followed by varnish coating (like Sheenlac). These, if done in the right method, will renew the look of your furniture and makes anew. I am happy for purchasing this oil. Will buy more for restoring many furniture in my house. I recommend this since this is the only oil used world wide (of course in compound form) for restoring old wood. Learn methods of sing linseed oil on you tube and use it happily.

Value for money.
Very nice. Just a bit too concentrated. Has to dilute with thinner.

The finish is not glossy and good for those who want to feel the wood when ...
Provides a deep finish to the wood and takes almost a day to dry. The finish is not glossy and good for those who want to feel the wood when they touch the object as compared to the plastic like finish on polyurethane varnish. A final coat of paste wax can be applied on top of the oil finish for a glossy look.

Product is good but not given the purpose clearly
Since purpose and usage is not clearly given, I purchased for using it on my wooden floor which is synthetic but it is not at all good. It creates a oil base for more than 10 days without drying so we cant use that for regular usage area. I lot lot of money on this product. Had it been a cross counter purchase i would have enquired with the sales people. This is the biggest issue with amazon.

drying time
This is the first time i was using boiled linseed oil in my woodworking project. The oil came intact in a sealed plastic bottle. i used it on plywood which i had prepared by sanding the surface. The oil covered the surface nicely when applied by dipping a cotton rag in the oil and applying it to the ply. However, the oil has not dried even after a month of application. The weather here is humid, so i have been keeping the ply in the sun as much as possible and have also gone over the surface with a heat gun a number of times. But the surface remains oily and not dry.
