My favorite yacon so far
I've tried a few brands of yacon and so far I like this one the best. It seems to be "less processed" to me, in the sense that it is less sweet and has fuller flavor. Some people may want sweeter and less flavorful to come closer to being just a pure sugar, but to me the highly concentrated sweetness makes me question the health benefits. To me this is more of a "food" that has some sweetness rather than a pure sweetener like most of us are used to. Many of the popular brands I've tried were thinner and sweeter. My best guess would be that this brand is closer to how it was processed and consumed prior to it becoming popular, whereas those other companies are processing it differently (refining it longer?) to make it appeal to a wider audience. Note that in general yacon is not a true sugar substitute since it has a slight molasses-like flavor (though to me it is much less bitter and burnt-flavored than molasses, and I have strong bitter receptors so I cannot tolerate a lot of bitterness, e.g. I can't really eat/drink stevia unless it is very dilute). Although I would think that yacon might work well in certain flavors of baked goods (I don't bake with it), it is generally not a sugar substitute. I think some people who don't like yacon are expecting a flavorless sweetener (that is also miraculously healthy for them). Also be careful when reading the nutritional info on the various brands because many use significantly different serving sizes so you have to do the math, you cannot just directly compare the quantities of nutrients.

A great all natural syrup!
The media could not be loaded. I recently tried this yacon syrup for the first time and it was the perfect low calorie sugar substitute in my banana bread recipe! I think it would be great in coffee too. The texture makes it easy to mix into nearly anything.

Meh…
It’s just ok. The flavor is not great, but it’s sweet. Also, beware, this stuff grows mold on top. You can’t leave it out of the fridge at all.

rich flavor
I use Yacon syrup instead of molasses to lessen all the sugar in baking. No one can tell the difference and everyone loves the Christmas gingerbread. I love the healthier alternative to molasses.

Yacon is good for you!
My favorites sweeteners are in this order:1. Sugar cane2. Honey3. YaconI do not like monk fruit, aspartame, stevia or anything else. Since #1 and #2 of my list are so high on calories, the natural choice is Yacon. For my budget is expensive but think about as investment on your health. This one comes in glass bottle so is eco-friendly. You need a spoon which is an inconvenience when comparted to the one from Blue Lily but is alright.

Has a raisin or fig flavor that I hate. NOT FOR WEIGHT LOSS!!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU THINK IT WILL HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT. BUY IT FOR A SWEETENER THAT WILL NOT RAISE YOUR GLUCOSE LEVELS.

Good and not so good
The good news is that this syrup does not clot up like those that come in a tall bottle which means I don't have to stir or struggle to get the product out. That said, it seems to be thinner and it might be worth the stuggle to me for the thicker syrup. The taste is similar; just a bit thinner.
