Grandpa here ... We have been vacuum sealing now for a few years and really enjoy saving money on our food bill. More people really should look into vacuum sealing in our opinion. Not to mention it is nice not to have spoiled or stale food anymore! We had been buying our jumbo vacuum sealer bags at the local grocery store and major big blue box store. We then thought, why not look on Amazon? Boy are we glad we did!We now buy these jumbo vacuum sealer bags from Commercial Bargains and get over three times more bags than what we were paying for at those retail stores for the same jumbo vacuum seal bags. The only difference between the high price jumbo vacuum seal bags and Commercial Bargains jumbo vacuum seal bags are the high price bags have white hash marks on the edges which is used to measure with. I just use our yard stick laying on the kitchen table instead as its well worth getting over three times the bags for the same price that we use to pay. Actually we think these jumbo vacuum seal bags are a bit better in quality than the green box jumbo vacuum seal bags we use to buy at the box stores. As these jumbo vacuum seal bags we have not had a single failure no matter what we have sealed in them, even peanuts or dry cat food. Where the green box store bought bags have failed from time to time and always failed with peanuts or dry cat food making us double bag those items and doubled the cost. That waste is now over with and we can vacuum seal much more!We continue to buy these jumbo bags and use them in our daily lives with multiple products and food items. So anyone who vacuum seals and is looking for a good quality jumbo bag, these are the ones you need to look at! We easily recommend these vacuum seal bags to our friends and family. Note: I use a FoodSaver FM2000 vacuum sealer, and these work great for it, with some caveats.Having used both the FoodSaver brand sealer bags and these, it may come as a surprise when I say that these are actually superior. The construction is similar, they work just as well as regular FoodSaver bags, but the difference is that you can seal these in any orientation in your FoodSaver. With these, if you cut them and turn the bag 90 degrees, it will still seal because the bags have a crosshatch design that will allow a vacuum, regardless of which side of the bag is left unsealed. With the FoodSaver bags, the lines in the bag form non-overlapping waves that travel in a single direction, so if you turn the cut bag sideways, your foodsaver won't be able to apply a vacuum to the bag.This is very useful, because this allows you to make packages smaller than 11 inches wide, if you want. I do this a lot when freezing leftover fresh herbs like basil, but I mostly use it when I make guacamole for lunches, because I can make a big batch of it once all the avocados are ripe, then put the finished guac into index-card sized pouches that I can vacuum-seal, stick in my freezer, and pull out as I need. That way, I can make individually-portioned guacamole that will last for months in the freezer.The only minor problem with these bags is that the rolls are much thicker than the FoodSaver rolls. They'll fit vertically just fine, but there's too much bag on the roll to fit into the FM2000 model's dispenser right out of the packaging. This is an easy fix, though. If you have the smaller version of the FoodSaver like the FM2000 (I don't know about the larger version, or other brands of vacuum sealers), the rolls will fit in just fine, so long as you re-roll about half of the generic roll onto another cardboard tube (you don't even really need the tube, it just makes it easier to unroll when you're using your FoodSaver). If your FoodSaver is still fairly new, make sure to save the cardboard tube from the original roll so you can use it for this task.

I got a vacuum sealer over the summer and have been going crazy vacuum sealing everything that isn't tied down. My vacuum sealer came with a handful of bags, but I used those up rather quickly, I tend to seal small quantities of dried vegetables and found out very quickly that the bags for the vacuum sealer aren't very practical because I end up either cutting them down or having lots of excess material hanging around. Because of this, I searched for rolls so that I could make the bags whatever size I needed. I chose these rolls because they were the best price for the size.I like the 8" wide rolls because I tend to seal a lot of smaller items and the eleven inch rolls are just too wide for most of what I do. And 50' is a lot of room. On the occasions when I have sealed up flour or sugar, I just made the bag a little longer so it all worked for me. (By the way... before you attempt vacuum sealing small particle items like this, you may want to look up some how-to tips on the internet so you don't ruin your vacuum sealer.)Finally, an obvious concern is whether the bags are high quality. If a vacuum bag isn't thick enough, it can be difficult to clear air out of it or it might not hold the seal properly. These rolls are giving me no problems at all. Everything is just as high quality as the original bags that came with my unit. When I use these rolls up, I will re-purchase this same brand. There's no reason for me to look for other rolls or bags.All opinions expressed in this review are 100% my own. IT doesnt feel as refined as the real thing but does the job. Few times out of the freezer I see some loose bags but maybe user error?
