I am a beginner and this was an inexpensive way to see if drumming is for me. It has been a great tool to learn on.

I wanted to practice playing on this drum pad because I'm in my marching band's drumline so this was a must have. It's honestly great and I've learned so many things by just having this and a pair of sticks. This is not small, but it's also great to carry around in your bag, so it's not enormous either. It's got good bounce, it's double-sided, and all I can say is that the "wood" (or wtv it is I'm not sure) chips away. I take care of my things so this chip was a bit unexpected. My friends who also have this drum pad have had the same thing happen to them so I think you should expect it. The drum pad also gets dirty over time, from what I've seen this gets like a darkish green ?? Not sure how to explain it but expect it to get dirty but only after several months. I got this drum pad in November and it's currently January and I don't see my pad getting dark green like my friends yet. It's not really a problem because their drum pads still play perfectly so it's more of an "aesthetic" thing. I'm honestly extremely pleased with this drum pad and I don't think there are any better ones out there so I definitely recommend this one cs a Vic Firth drum pad costs you a lung and your kidney. Love this pad!!
