Q: Will this work on Dell Optiplex core2duo

Hello, Not applicable if your computer case is small. The computer applicable to this product has two conditions: 1. The first condition is that the computer case has the position of the optical drive panel (small case is the position without the optical drive panel) 2. The second condition is that the motherboard of the computer has some corresponding ports to connect with several cables of the product. (The connector of the product can refer to the display picture of the product) Thank you!

You should be able to fit the blue female plug to a spare USB 3 header on your motherboard - if you haven't got a spare USB 3 header on your motherboard the USB 3 ports in the unit will not work. It works with my MSI motherboard (unfortunately the USB 3 port at the front of my ATX case doesn't work but that might be the case or the motherboard and I haven't bothered to find out which).

Q: Can i plug this in at the same time as my case? How would i use both the usb ports and headphone jack from the case if this is plugged into it?

Hello, Please refer to the product manual for installation. After proper installation, the jacks and microphone jacks on the computer case will be disabled, and the headphones and microphone jacks on the product will be used normally.

Q: Could i test an internal hdd from this panel rather than taking my machine to peices?

you would have to take your machine to pieces to install this panel anyway, I don't think you could access the HDD in the machine it is installed on through it either, but you could test an internal HDD with it with out having to open the case of the machine this is installed in just needs a short SATA cable and a power cable with a female 4 pin molex to use the power out put from the panel
