Used this while installing a hardwire ethernet cable to my study and loft. Takes a little bit of practice to begin with, but works well once mastered.

Worked fine for the home project I wanted it for, but it's fairly flimsy and I wouldn't want to depend on it if I was doing this sort of job a lot. Still, can't complain, you get what you pay for.

I needed to couple some ethernet cables and this did the job perfectly with some inline couplers. They feel solid and got the cables into the pushdown slots with ease. Make sure you line it up right to get the cable clipped in the right place.

Works fine - I have a few of these in different tool kits. (Can never find one when I need it, but they are cheap enough to have spares)

I was installing Cat6 and I also bought the wall sockets - this tool makes the wiring quick and easy to do

But overall it’s useful and you can just use wire cutters

I’ve tried a few cheap IDC punch down tools in the past – including one from Screwfix – and most of them broke or came apart after just a couple of uses.
