I bought this for my niece, who is 1, and loves playing with blocks. The blocks are small, but not small enough for them to choke on. If you shake the block they come in hard enough, they will fall through the shape holes, but it's not a big issue. My niece is obsessed with these blocks, and is learning to sort them by shape.

I love this shape sorter! The colors are vibrant and it is the perfect size for putting in a tote bag. I work with kiddos with special needs, and I love that I can take one side of the box off so that they can practice the skill of putting the blocks in without needing to fit them through the holes. I will be buying these for other kiddos for sure!!

My great nephew is a bit young for matching the shapes to their respective holes, but he carries the pieces around the house, like favorite things. He likes the pink one and the lime green one best. I expect him to grow into matching the shapes to the holes in a few months. It keeps his hands occupied and when he throws them, no harm done.

This shape sorting cube is much, much smaller than I expected. I wish the seller would have placed a child holding the cube or next to the cube, so that we can get a good reference on the size. It would help so much. Aside from that, I do find it to be the perfect size for babies over 9 months old. The shape sorter works well, and each piece fits in the corresponding shape.
