Works and a great value
Easy enough to install, it won’t be 100% exact and it doesn’t fall together, it’s a cheap kit! Plan accordingly! It does what it’s supposed to do, and you can tell a difference. Installed this one on my wife’s tahoe and it helped with throttle response over the OEM setup. I have the solid black setup on mine, so this being the second kit from Amazon, install time was cut in half. It’s really basic and doesn’t require a lot of modification to fit. For fitting the MAF sensor I usually cut part of the OE rubber boot to “adapt” from 4” to the MAF sensor and sandwich it in place, then tighten down a single clamp over both pieces. No issues and fits nicely. Those that complain about the fitment are better apt to pay bigger bucks for the name brand intake and just stop trying to build their trucks, fabrication skills aren’t earned by crying

Great budget upgrade for GM trucks.
Great upgrade for my GMC Sierra. Much better airflow than the clunky, hard to access oem airbox and piping.Overall easy install. Coming from a 20+ yrs mechanic. Only issue was the brace that runs from the main pipe to the rubber vibration damper on the filter shield. It will not reach to connect. Have tried adjusting everything and it's still too short. Last 2 pics show this. I will modify it with a longer bolt with rubber washers (no big deal) . Just be prepared to make a run to the hardware store.I rate it 5 stars even though the bracket doesnt fit and the instructions lack detail.Truck runs great and sounds much better.

It works, which is all it needs to do.
Do yourself a favor, no matter what vehicle you're planning on putting an intake like this on, buy something cheap like this kit. Don't spend several hundreds of dollars for these "cold air" kits from K&N or the vehicle manufacturers' overpriced "performance" intake. All you are buying is a piece of pipe with a filter on it. You may read in some articles or hear from some "car expert" you should only buy those expensive ones, and the reason they're that expensive is because of all the R&D that goes into testing them and blah blah... those people are dumb. Most modern vehicles are well within their ability to cope with a cold air/short ram air intake without needing re-tuned. Just think, cars are fully capable of driving to the top of Pikes Peak, then driving down to Death Valley and adjust to maintain stoichiometric mixture. If a vehicle would need a retune due to adding a cold air intake, it would need retuned regardless of if you bought the cheap one, or the expensive one. All in all, you might as well just flush your cash down the toilet buying some insanely overpriced kit. This short ram air intake for the Vortec does the job, and at a decent price. It's not exactly 'top-shelf' amazing quality, but it doesn't have to be. The kit comes included with everything you need to get rid of the OEM airbox and set the intake up. It does the job well and works just fine. Things may require a little elbow grease or some slight tweaking of one of the included parts, but it's nothing extensive or deal breaking. Most people familiar with working on their vehicles will have this done in less than 30 minutes. If you want to switch out the filter for a different one from some other company you prefer, you've already got the system in place and changing a filter is simple. You'll also get a nicer intake sound as the OEM airbox isn't there to muffle the sound of the engine sucking up air.Again, no matter if you're buying this for the LM7, the LQ4, or some LS swap, just pick up something cheap like this, even if it means something doesn't line up perfect or you need to take 2 minutes and slightly modify a piece. All these intakes are is a glorified piece of pipe with a cone filter on the end, don't break the bank on the things.

Exactly what I wanted! Will work with GMC Savana vans with the right patience & MORE!!
Can't say it was easy to install but that's my fault, I have a 2008 GMC Savana 1500 van!! & Nothing is but I love my Vans ‼️ this product never claimed to fit my van actually said it wouldn't I'm so glad it did! Because wow sounds and runs great! And the price awesome! I haven't drove it far enough to actually know for sure but I know my average mile per gallon has went up and I'm satisfied it's going to help me out at least one or two miles a gallon! If I'm as happy with it as I am, I can't imagine anybody not being happy with it that has the vehicle that it actually has listed to fit!!! Thanks for a great product and a great price!!

Can't use it for band practice
This works great but you can't eat it. I tried using it for my school band but they kicked me out and stole my clothes. Great choice

$60 cant go wrong,
The honest review of this product as seen through the eyes of a mechanic and someone unbiased to vehicle performance the product is described accurate and the price reflected the quality of the components sourced. Remember if your trying to replicate the material quality of a $200 intake vs. A $60 and believe it will you will find yourself living a lye.The silicon boots is very thin and not reinforced like you would find in more expensive kits, it marks very easy and will be dingy simply from the installation. The clamps are an absolute joke to the extent I reused my 21 year old oem clamps. The aluminum pipe has been engineered correctly and the coating seems decent (although only time will tell) the heat shield is a basic "assemble yourself" 2 piece shield which will serve its purpose as intended. The cone filter was actually surprisingly bigger than I expected however, again, the overall quality of the materials and amounts used feels chintzy compared to a name brand hi flow.End of the day, for $60 my truck now has a nice mean sound under acceleration and and the throttle response has drastically improved, if you have delusions this (or any cold air intake) is going to make your car a 10 second street machine then you will be let down. But if your just looking to get a nice intake tone, and a little more pep in your step for $60 you cant go wrong.Hope this helped,
